What is Mechatronics Engineering

Mechatronics Engineering is the branch of science which includes the study of mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, telecommunications, system engineering and control engineering. It focuses on different aspects of mechatronics like modelling, real-time computer interfacing, sensors, controllers and actuators. After completing the course graduates can work on different aspects like sensing and control systems, automation and robotics, artificial intelligence and expert systems, transportation and vehicular systems and computer integrated manufacturing systems. Being a specialised field, undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses in Mechatronics are offered by few technical colleges.

Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Mechatronics Engineering

  • For UG: Class XII pass out with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • For PG: Undergraduate in mechatronics engineering from a recognised university.

Scope of Mechatronics Engineering in India and Abroad

  • A rise in the application of medical imaging system in health care centres and research centres have increased the work profile of postgraduate engineers in Mechatronics.
  • LaThe launch of different space shuttles has increased opportunities for Mechatronics graduates.

what is fees for mechatronics engineering per year.

Adithyan Manikandan 9th Jul, 2020

Hey Shreyash ,

Mechatronics has a increased scope in the recent years. The fee structure varies according to each the university and college. I'm giving you an approximation, A Private university's fee might range from 2-3 Lakhs per annum (INR) based on your cutoff. Self-Financing College's fee range from 1-2 Lakhs per annum (INR) and a Government institution's fee would probably be below 1 Lakh (INR). However these fee can be reduced on getting a scholarship.

Wishing you Good luck!!

Ece,Cse and Mechatronics which is better course and having more opportunities?

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 5th Jul, 2020

Hey!

ECE definitely has a lot of opportunities and bright future than other two sectors. It includes study of how electrical components communicate with each other. ECE and CSE has almost same salry packages but ECE is more in demand in government sector and CSE is more popular in private sector. Also, job profiles in CSE has danger of recession whereas there is no such danger in ECE job profiles.

Hope it helped to clear your delimma.

Thank you

what is Siemens certification for mechatronics please explain briefly and what is the use of it

S. Saha Student Expert 5th Jul, 2020
Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program is a skill enhancement program or training is association with Siemens. This program mostly focuses on hands-on training that help candidates to understand the important theories of Mechatronics. As this is a hands on training program, it is an advantage to candidates as they are already job ready. Employers don't need to give time in job trainings. Being taught by the experts of Siemens, it is really helpful for students.
