FRI Dehradun Admission Process
The college offers admissions at postgraduate and doctoral level programmes. The various courses offered by the college are M.Sc. and Ph.D. Meeting the eligibility criteria is the first step of the FRI Dehradun admission process. Thus, candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for admission in the college. For Forest Research Institute admission to M.Sc. programmes, candidates are selected on the basis of the merit score of the entrance test, conducted by the college. FRI Dehradun conducts both the entrance exam and interview for Ph.D programme admission. Candidates who qualify the entrance test are only eligible for the interview. A merit list is prepared on the basis of marks of the interview for Ph.D programme admission. FRI Dehradun Admission - M.Sc. Programme
The college offers two-year full-time M.Sc. programmes. M.Sc. at Forest Research Institute are offered in environment management, forestry, wood science and technology and cellulose and paper technology. The course is divided into semesters and the duration of each semester is six months.

FRI Dehradun Admission Process - Ph.D Programmes
First, meet the eligibility criteria.
Second, fill the college application form.
Third, candidates have to appear for an entrance test, conducted by FRI Dehradun.
Fourth, those who qualify the entrance test (50% for general category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC), have to appear for an interview.
Fifth, a merit list will be prepared for the candidates based on the marks of the interview.
Sixth, selected candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees.
Those candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/teacher fellowship holders are exempted from the entrance test and can directly appear for the interview. GATE qualified candidates should have a minimum score of 50 out of 100. 45 for SC/ST candidates.
