This specialization trains designers to conceptualize and craft immersive digital experiences and interactive worlds, enhancing Human Intelligence (HI) by fostering imaginative thinking, complex problem-solving, and the ability to build engaging virtual realities. It delves into the art and technology of visual storytelling, character development, environmental design, and interactive systems, blending creative vision with technical execution to captivate audiences and facilitate dynamic player engagement.

The curriculum progresses from foundational principles of visual composition, character animation, and game mechanics to advanced skills in 3D modeling, rigging, motion capture, real-time rendering, and interactive prototyping. Students explore the full spectrum of the digital creation pipeline, from conceptualization and storyboarding to asset production, engine integration, and playtesting, while integrating VFX techniques to enhance realism and spectacle. This program also explores the potential of AI-assisted tools to augment animation workflows, procedurally generate content, and refine game AI, alongside the ethical implications of creating engaging yet responsible virtual environments.

Students learn to develop compelling narratives, design intuitive gameplay loops, create expressive animated characters, build expansive virtual environments, apply strategic design thinking to game development, and understand how interactive experiences can shape user behavior, entertain, educate, and even drive social impact.

This prepares graduates to innovate within the evolving entertainment and interactive media landscape, designing the next generation of animation, games, and virtual experiences with an awareness of both creative vision and technical feasibility.


Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
Minimum Marks Required: as per the merit decided by the university in any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts).
Entrance Exam: Admission may be based on Graphic Era’s entrance test or valid scores in national-level design entrance exams like UCEED/NID DAT/NIFT, if applicable.
