Every year lakhs of students apply to get into the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and they have enough academic credentials owing to their performance in high school academics and admission tests. Indian Institute of Technology encourages merit by offering different types of IIT Roorkee scholarships and financial assistance for students who require it or deserve it. There are three types of financial assistance offered to students namely

Concessions
Scholarships
Fellowships: Fellowships are funding programmes that are mainly dedicated to postgraduate students working in areas of research both at the Master and Doctoral levels. The fellowships require the students to avail tuition fee waiver in return for responsibilities such as assistantships.
Concessions: Concession is planned and made available mainly for students in reserved categories (SC/ST with) the following provisions:
50% application fee waiver
Relaxed cut off percentage
Relaxed minimum percentage of marks for admission both at undergraduate and postgraduate level by 5%
No or minimal tuition fee
Exemption in room rent and meals provided
Pocket allowances of Rs. 250 and a monthly scholarship of Rs.1000
Textbooks under textbook loan scheme with a normal security deposit
Eligibility Criteria: The students eligibility where parental income does not exceed the limit prescribed by the Government of India and the gross income level is less than Rs. 2 lakhs per annum.

Merit-cum-Means scholarship
Merit-cum- means scholarship is offered to a quarter number of students (25%) enrolled in the programme. Bank loans are available and along with scholarships provided to people belonging to general and reserved categories. When scholarships are provided at the postgraduate level, it involves some duties to avail such benefits so that students can earn as well as learn. In the MCM category, scholarships the student gets tuition waiver and monthly allowances.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure is well-designed with spacious classrooms and advanced labs. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, ensuring seamless connectivity. The library is extensive, providing ample resources for research. The sports facilities are commendable.

College Infrastructure
The ECE department is very well-equipped with labs having the newest machinery and tools. 2 study rooms and high-speed WI-FI. For the hostel, I would say it is average. We have been given a single room with a cupboard, study table, Bed and fan. I don’t like the mess food too much as it lacks taste and variety.

College Infrastructure
Our hostel is awesome. Radhakrishanan Bhawan has free unlimited Wi-Fi, LAN, gym, canteen, TV room, elevator, indoor game complex, etc. The department of mathematics has a library, free Wi-Fi, and great supportive professors. The quality of food served in the hostel was average. But breakfast used to be great at our time. Classes are conducted in the lecture hall complex, which was at a distance of 10-15 minutes from our hostel.

As per your inquiry, the previous year's cutoff for admission to the CSE branch at IIT Roorkee requires a score of less than 100 in the SC category.
You can get admitted to IIT Roorkee if your score is between 4000 and 4500, but you won't be allowed to choose the CSE branch.
