its decent overall. It has every basic necessity. The deemed campus gives it an extra hand. It has a big sports ground for basketball, volleyball, football. it also has a sports arena with the indoor games like chess and tt and badminton. The campus has a cafeteria, 2 floor library, mac lab, iot lab, computer center , computer lab, design lab, workshops, phy chem electronics electrical lab. i am in btech so this is acc to my needs.
the academics are okay. it cannot be changed as it is according to the law but still it can be improved by removing some subjects. the faculties are mostly graduated from hill university itself but they are pretty smart and cooperative.
they are just average. The ratio isn't good but the packages which are offered are top notch. the average salary per student is around 4 lpa which is considered average in the engineering industry. the students will need to work hard and outshine almost every one in their batch.
This university has a lot of scholarships which makes it a good option for value of money. This university offers diversity scholarships for both non uttarakhandis and uttrakhandis. It also has a merit based scholarship of your jee score and 12 marks.
The one thing which is almost perfect is its college llife. many fests, cooperative and friendly students and faculties which can be considered a plus point for the non social students who are joining.
this college itself has only one building , it is the deemed university campus that gives it the extra hand. the main building has all the basic facilities and its a pretty posh building. With a 3 floor library, a cafeteria, mac lab ,computer labs, iot labs, phy chem elec labs , open auditorium, seminar halls and lecture theater. The university has a big sports ground for football basketball and volleyball, it also has a sports arena for badminton, tabletennis, chess and other indoor sports.
many of the faculties here are hill university graduates but are pretty smart and cooperative. some might need a push but will help the students in the end. there are some strict faculties for sure. I am currently pursuing btech and the first year subjects are not worth studying but they are compulsory in every other so there is nothing to complain about.
The placements are okay. average. The ratio isn't good but those who get the placements are high end packages. The reason for low placement ratio is the because of the students because they come here to chill and relax not for placements so there are a lot of students but the actual competition breaks down to a few.
Hill university offers a lot of scholarship which makes it good for the value of money especially for the people living in dehradun or anywhere in uttarakhand. In my case if i secure a package of 6 lakh then it is 50% approximately roi.
Campus life is good overall and it is the one thing about this college which i can rate good. the students come here to communicate so it will be easier to make friends and communicate and with the wide diversity of students, it will also help with the communication skills and improve your knowledge about different cultures.
Overall a pretty average college.
So many facilities are provided to the students, like a proper Wi-Fi zone campus, fully automated labs and classrooms, and a well-furnished library, gym, transport and many more. Hostel facilities are good, quality of food in mess and canteen are good but the food provided in canteen was very bad and I suggest you to not to eat from there.
Teachers are friendly and knowledgeable during my course period. However, some of them have left now, so I am not sure about the upcoming ones. They also give career counselling and help you find your interest. Mid-sem and end-sem exams are conducted every semester. The course curriculum is made in such a manner that makes us industry ready.
Most of the students are not able to sit in placements due to their active backlog. There are nearly 400-500 students in our batch so the competition is bit difficult, but if you've some relevant skills and good academics you can easily grab those placement.
My fees of whole course was 3.28 lacs. As this course provides me practical knowledge and helps me to develop some relevant skills so for me this is the best return on investment.
Our campus is situated in the Clement town, and it creates learning environment. Another thing I like is the weather of Dehradun.
Nothing
I feel that the infrastructure generally meets my needs but could use some improvements. The classrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, projectors, and comfortable seating, though I think some could use modern updates. The laboratories are good for hands-on work, but a few pieces of equipment seem outdated. The library has a decent selection of books and study spaces, but I believe the digital resources could be better. The sports center offers basic facilities, and the hostels are clean with decent food options. Overall I think there’s room for better maintenance and modernization in some areas.
In my MBA program at Graphic Era University, I’m focusing on Finance with a minor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. I chose this combination because I’m passionate about financial strategies and how they intersect with supply chain operations. I feel that the quality of teaching is good the professors are knowledgeable and offer valuable insights. However, I think the curriculum could be more up-to-date with the latest developments in the field. While it covers the essential topics, incorporating more current trends and technologies would be beneficial. Overall, what I’m learning is relevant and provides a good foundation, but some updates to the curriculum could enhance my job readiness further.
The quality of placements is fairly good but could be improved. Around 70-80% of students were placed, with the highest salary package going to students from technical courses like B.Tech. I found the college to be supportive throughout the process, but there were areas where better guidance and preparation could have enhanced the overall experience.
I feel that the value for money is reasonable. The fees are relatively high compared to some other institutions, but the quality of education and facilities provided justify the cost. However, I believe that for the fee structure, the university could invest more in modernizing facilities and enhancing support services. Overall, while I feel I'm getting a fair return on my investment, some additional improvements would make it even better.
I find the campus to be conducive to both studying and participating in extracurricular activities. The best feature is the variety of student clubs and organizations, which offer many opportunities for engagement in sports, cultural events, and academic groups. However, I feel that some areas of the campus could benefit from modernization. The support staff are generally helpful, providing good resources for both academic and personal support. The university’s location is accessible, although transportation options could be better. I feel safe on campus, as there are measures in place to handle emergencies
The infrastructure is very much average. The classrooms and computer labs are basic, and there is a lot of need improvement in terms of modern facilities. The campus could be more updated to match the needs of students.
I am doing MBA from here. The teachers are experienced and knowledgeable, and the curriculum is very much well-structured. I feel like I’m getting a solid education, and the courses are relevant and helpful for my MBA
Placements are pretty amazing and good. Some good companies come for recruitment, and with effort, students can secure good jobs. There’s still room to bring in more top companies, but overall, the opportunities are decent.
The fees structure is Little high but The education is affordable for the quality provided, but considering the infrastructure, I think it could offer more for the money. If they upgrade the facilities, it would definitely feel like better value.
Campus life is very much average. There are events and activities, but it’s not as amazing as I was expecting. While there are chances to get involved, I think more opportunities for social and personal growth would make the campus experience better
The campus layout includes two separate buildings that are quite far from each other. While the infrastructure is well-maintained, the distance between departments can be inconvenient and disrupt the flow of daily activities. Improvements are must required for the campus.
The MBA program covers important subjects and gives a good basic understanding. However, it could benefit from updates to better match current industry practices. Adding more recent case studies and practical examples could make the coursework more relevant.
The placement rate is satisfactory, but there’s a noticeable gap in package offerings. B.Tech graduates often receive higher packages, whereas MBA and BBA graduates tend to get similar levels of compensation. To improve outcomes, the placement cell could focus on creating more targeted opportunities for MBA students.
As a domicile of Uttarakhand, I benefited from reduced fees compared to out-of-state students. Even with this discount, I felt the fees were still relatively high for the MBA program. The overall value for money might not be as strong as expected.
Campus life is active and engaging with various events and a supportive community. Despite the inconvenience of the building separation, the campus environment was lively and inclusive. The staff faculty are also very supportive to help us.
I feel like enhancing industry partnerships, career services, and student support could significantly improve the overall experience.
The college has good infrastructure and facilities like library, e-library, playground, basketball court, badminton court, and a special room for indoor games with good environment. Great quality of facilities available in the hostel as well as good quality of food in mess and canteen.
Teachers are very helpful and well qualified from reputed colleges and have great knowledge. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that students can gain all the skills and qualifications needed to get ready for the industry or corporate life.
Top recruiting companies for our course are Amazon, Adobe, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Informatica, Zscaler, Cognizant, Siemens, and many more. To be true, there has been a really great record of placements of students of the MBA in reputed companies.
The fees of my course MBA is around ₹6.15lacs.
5/5 for campus life.
Learn new skills, get industry exposure.
Infrastructure of GEHU, Dehradun is appreciable. With a single massive building of about 7 floors, 7-8 CS/IT labs, electrical and mechanical workshops and well maintained washrooms. The library and sitting areas with superfast wi-fi facility is quite good. The main auditorium is not huge but very well designed. Cleanliness is everywhere inside the campus. Special lecture halls are also there which are quite big in size. However, the disappointing part of the campus is its area. It is quite small and since the number of students are huge therefore the environment is quite dense. Now here comes the major drawback, the University sports ground. All the major sports and games are held in Graphic Era Deemed to University because Graphic Era Hill University courts and sports ground are of low quality. Only a single basketball court and a small park sized ground with grass touching your shins. And since the University is small and densely populated you can't enjoy much.
Low quality academics. The most important reason being - Inferior faculties and students. Most of the faculties they have are graduated either from unknown universities or are students pursuing Masters, specially when it comes to non-engineering courses. Students here are of inferior quality. They know nothing and likes to show off as if they are the one. No one talks about innovation and ideas. Repetitive projects, tasks and copied assignments are our routine. Only a few of them are intelligent and they work in silence unlike the other sheep. Moreover there is no system in University. They force us to do some irrelevant courses, maintain 75% attendance and wants to take credit for the projects you worked hard for. To be honest everyone here thinks they are the one but they aren't. They won't help you much in this area. But some of the senior engineering faculties are really masterminds. Specially the ones who are taking care of placements as well. They are qualified from IITs, NITs and are full of knowledge. The problem with them is their busy schedule.
I passed out from GEHU, Dehradun in 2024. I believe they will give you enough opportunities to get placed. The placement season starts with the beginning of your final year and lasts until your completion of the course. An average student would get placed if they work hard. However there three big cons- 1. The average package is around 4 - 4.5 lpa. 2. If you get placed in any company, you are out of placement drive and can only try in a company that offers a package of 3 lpa higher than your current lpa. 3. Mandatory bonds the company brings with them while recruiting.
Here is the major concern - The University wants to squeeze the money out of you at all cost. I literally used to curse myself while informing about my fee bill. About 90,000/ semester when I have a scholarship of around 50,000 + 1,25,000/year of hostel (if you take hostel) that's a whole lot of robbery. Take around 10,000 of your unnecessary spends on project files, assignments and other stuffs that college forces. Graphic LootERA Hill University should be it's name and the what's the average package 4 lpa. C'mon !!
I will keep this short. Campus as I already said is small and densely populated. So you don't have much to explore inside the campus. It hardly takes an hour by walk. The environment is quite crowdy but you will find peace at some places. Chill at the cafeteria (if you find seat) or at library. However one good thing is Graphic Era Deemed University is quite near, you can enjoy that campus as well.
The infrastructure for our course and hostel is not very good when compared to others. Sports ground is not well maintained, library assistants are good but sometimes we also feel shortage of books in mid of the semester. Lifts are there in the campus but some of them are still under construction. Hostel services are there for the students. The quality of food was decent.
All the faculty are very supportive and provide their best guidance to help us in our studies, and work really hard for students to learn new things. We get to attend career seminars, so I can't say that the faculty are bad because they are the best and help you get a job. Curriculum and exams are disgusting. Limited seats are available for BTech CSE branch.
This University is quite good in placements, Courses offered, Internship programs and many more. But in some courses like BBA, MBA they didn't provide internship. Top recruiting companies for our college include Adobe, Infosys, Byju's, Informatica, Square Yards visit our campus and offer a good package. In my batch 75% of students get placed, and placement cell help us a lot in placement drives.
My fees of whole course was ₹12 lacs.
Students can engage in various co curricular activities like dancing, singing, sports etc.
Nothing.
The infrastructure of my university is pretty decent; it could be better. And I hope that if there were more trees on campus talking about Wi-fi, there would be no Wi-fi connections for students. We can use the Wi-fi or Ethernet only when we are in labs and that is for study purpose only. Proper hygiene is maintained in mess and in canteen. The quality was decent.
All the faculty are very helpful, provide their best guidance to help us in our studies, and work really hard for students. We get to attend career seminars, so I can't say that the faculty are bad because they are the best and help you get a job. Course get difficult with each passing semester, as it is common in every university.
This University is quite good in placements, Courses offered, Internship programs and many more. Above-average placement in mechanical engineering are offered. Almost everyone who is eligible gets the placement offer. However, the packages are not so big; the maximum is 10 LPA and the average is 5 to 6 LPA.
Yes it provides value for money.
Excellent.
Nothing.
