A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree course must have passed the Master’s degree examination in the concerned faculty of this University or an examination of other university recognized as equivalent thereto, with at least a Second Class, provided that in the case of college teachers in service who have passed the Master’s degree examination in the Pass Class intending to join the M.Phil. degree course to improve their qualifications, the requirement of having passed the Master’s degree at least in Second Class be waived.” No candidate will be allowed to register for the degree of Master of Philosophy(M.Phil.) in the subject/branch other than the one in which he holds his Master’s degree.
