The Andhra University College of Science and Technology has a long history, It is one of the most esteemed constituent colleges of Andhra University, being recognised for scientific education and research. M.Sc. Tech Programmes: The two M.Sc. Tech programmes that the college has are Geophysics and Applied Geology. The programmes are focused on advanced theoretical knowledge and how to apply such knowledge in practice. Such programmes are, however, subject to both entrance test scores and degree performance in the applicant's bachelor's degree. Candidates applying must have either a B.Sc. or B.Tech in the appropriate related area.
Ph.D. Programmes: The Andhra University College of Science and Technology offers 21 Ph.D. such as Ph.D Statistics, Ph.D Meteorology & Oceanography, Ph.D Environmental Sciences programmes across various scientific fields. In most cases, admission into doctoral programmes is based on the performance of the candidate in an appropriate department's written test and/or interview. The minimum criterion for admission is a master's degree in the specific subject with a minimum of 55 percent marks or equivalent CGPA; some departments might exempt the candidate from having to take the written test following their scores in national level tests (like NET/GATE).
