College of Fisheries, Ratnagiri Admission Process

College of Fisheries in Ratnagiri is one of the most prestigious institutions that caters to vocational education in aquatic fields. Application Process

B.F.Sc. (Hons):
This is the flagship undergraduate course at the College of Fisheries, Ratnagiri, which has an intake capacity of 44 students every year. Admission to this program is based on the CET conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. Eligibility criteria are given under the completion of plus 2 level of education with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB).

M.F.Sc. Programs:
Different M.F.Sc. programs are available in the college, each having a given intake capacity across specializations:

  • Aquaculture (3 seats)

  • Fish Processing Technology (6 seats)

  • Fisheries Extension (4 seats)

  • Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology (3 seats)

  • Fisheries Resource Management (3 seats)

  • Fish Biotechnology (3 seats)

  • Aquatic Environment Management (2 seats)

  • Fisheries Engineering Technology (2 seats)

  • Fisheries Economics (2 seats)

Entrance into any of the M.F.Sc. programs mentioned above requires sitting for the CET conducted by Maharashtra Agricultural Universities' Examination Board, Pune. The general eligibility criteria include a B.F.Sc degree and minimum CGPA of 5.5 or equivalent.

Ph.D. Programs:
This college also offers doctoral programs under various fisheries specialization such as:
