St.Xaviers College is a college based in Mumbai, famously known for its Arts department. It is one of the oldest colleges featuring an exotic gothic exterior and an majestic interior. Student life in this college can be overwhelming as well as magnificent. CAMPUS The vibe of the college is positive and fun filled. The student demography is diverse giving you a chance to interact with students from different background. The best part of the college is that the females outnumber the males. INFRASTRUCTURE The college has been declared as a heritage location. Walking through the stairs will give everyone a Hogwarts chill. The Library is like a small get away place from the crowd. We will find students to sitting on the floors, between those book shelves reading and having time to themselves. Another amazing part of the college in the terrace especially during Monsoons. Classes conducted on terrace are like living in a paradise. CORPORATE EXPOSURE During various fest, Students get an opportunity to enhance their various capabilities. It gives students a chance to build network with companies that sponsor various events in the college. SOCIAL LIFE It’s very easy to make friends in the college making college life best part of your life. If you don’t Volunteer for Malhar, you are non existent for others. The festival is bigger than the college itself. Most fun a person can enjoy is by participating in Malhar. The canteen is a platform for social interaction. Everyone craves for Anna’s food. PLACEMENTS Since I am currently studying in SYBA. I don’t have much personal experience with placements but I have heard from many seniors who got placements in amazing Multi National Companies. There was even a session once for students by Seniors from our college who work at McKinsey. COLLEGE HOSTEL Biggest disadvantage about the college is that the college only has a boys hostel. PROFESSORS Most professors are knowledge and well experienced but most of the amazing these amazing teachers are retiring. The professors are very approachable. Every student in the college has a professor as their mentor to help them adjust with the new college environment. This is especially helpful for outstation students. FEES AND AFFORDABLITIY The fees structure of the college is one of the most cheapest in the entire country for BA and B.Sc. Even travelling is affordable since students get railway Consession and the most important railway stations are located near the college. Overall experience in the college is awesome. You won’t regret it. It can be difficult in the beginning but slowly everyone gets adjusted to the scenario.

College was a time filled with learning, not only curriculum based, but also in the area of personality development. St. Xavier's attracts a diverse crowd of students, replete with their diverse political and economic ideologies, which makes interactions with the fellow student body, coupled with the interactions with the faculty an enriching experience. Extracurriculars are encouraged, and to a certain extent mandated, which makes it easier for students to break out of their shells and experience the college beyond the classroom. Engagement with the industry is also regulated through the development of project-based evaluations every semester. All facilities are pocket-friendly, and there is an active mobilisation of student opinion whenever need be, through the college newsletter and the student's association.

Provocans ad volandum - the college emblem bears this motto. It holds the very essence of St.Xavier's College-inspire to fly. Being a Microbiology alumnus, I think me & my batch of 2015 was blessed with the most supportive teachers who encouraged us to give our best in whatever we did... may it be lectures, practicals.. they always wanted us to excel. Our HOD, Vivien Ma'am still remains one of the most influential person in my life. But undoubtedly one of the most fun pracs should be chemistry practicals. Then obviously Malhar, annual college fest which had an energy of its own. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the contingent team for World Performing Arts department. Apart from academics and curricular Xavier's has the best chill out places - green shade being my favorite! I had the best conversations with my friends there. And how can one forget the CANTEEN! I still miss Anna's food and Shiva's chaat . Three years at Xavs (as we fondly call it) went past so soon that now they remain irreplaceable memories of the days gone by . Will always miss you Xavier's! You got me into a beautiful world of possibilities :)

St. Xavier's College is among the country's top three colleges for Humanities. Had a great experience studying BMM and graduating in Advertising. The college is autonomous and has its own unique syllabus and method. Sometimes it can be hectic for a student but it clearly helps develop one's personality. Also there is immense focus on overall development as participation in co-curricular activities and social work (via Social Involvement Program) is compulsory. Finally, the staff (BMM) and the crowd are similar to other very good colleges. Being here in Xavier's itself is a whole new experience.

.This college gives you a whole lot of things that would always be incomplete to define.I feel this is the only place where just studies don't happen. There is more interaction, more merriness towards each other. This college just not nourishes your educational skills but also your personality and confidence levels..Having a Gothic infrastructure generates positive vibrations throughout the whole day.The faculty is very kind heart and generous. They have always provoke us to work hard and showcase our talents wherever we go after leaving college.Xavier's is just not a place to study. Its a place to develop new ideas and implement them.Students enhance themselves in a very well manner. The knowledge gained is just not because of the faculty, but because of well equipped labs, digitally accessed library, good canteens and nice crowd. The campus life is amazing and charming. This place just doesn't excel in studies but also in extra-circular activities.Let it be the 90 hrs mandatory NGO work over the 6 months, Social service league group ,the classical Indian music group, Marathi Vangmay Mandal, Xavier's resource for visually challenged people and AICUF. The college makes mandatory for students to work for 60 hrs over 3 months in a NGO. This experience makes us well aware about the social issues of our country and how we can take an initiative in future to tackle them. There were various fest conducted in our colleges.A few to say like Janfest, Antaas, Antarchakshu and the main grand cultural and extraordinary fest is Malhar. These festivals always happened in a well coordinated manner. These events are mesmerizing and they teach you leadership qualities, group co-ordination,hospitality. This things develop your inner qualities. It also helps in understanding our Indian culture.Being more on academic part, the college is autonomous so it frames its own syllabus, course, exam pattern and evaluation. Every part of this autonomy is turning helpful. The syllabus is full fledged with covering every part and aspects of the subject and going into its core. The exam pattern is way more flexible and thought provoking rather than copy pasting. The college follows double blind evaluation .The course also includes some more emphasis on inter department credits, environmental aspects and their issues, Human values ,Indian culture subject over the 3 years of graduation. The college also offers Honors degree. This degree is applicable to those students who wish to apply and cover 30 hrs of additional NGO work, get practically skilled in performing various lab techniques apart from normal syllabus pattern and to perform a research related work . Being In Xavier's is the best part of life and gives you a enhanced experience.
