KLR Pharmacy College, Khammam Admission Process

KLR Pharmacy College, located at Khammam (Telangana) and is considered as one among the finest institutes in this state that offers pharmaceuticals education. The college has a good number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in pharmacy. Admitted to the college are bright and enthusiastic students for its varied courses through a process initiated in the KLR Pharmacy College admission procedure. The admissions to the undergraduates courses like B.Pharma and Pharm.D are done on the basis of the rank achieved by the candidate in the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET), which is primarily used to assess the candidates' performances in the relevant subjects to check their suitability for pharmaceutical studies. 

The exam is normally conducted every year, with the next one scheduled for April 28-29, 2025. For postgraduate courses like M.Pharma, the admissions are through the state-level entrance exam TS PGECET. Some specializations in M.Pharma might consider GATE scores too. Generally, TS PGECET is held in June; the next exam will be conducted from June 15-18, 2025. Minimum essential qualifications for B.Pharma and Pharm.D candidates will include successful completion of 10+2 with compulsory subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. For admission in M.Pharma programs, students must have B.Pharma from a recognized university.

Application Process

KLR Pharmacy College has a different application process for each program.

Adhering to B.Pharma and Pharm.D:

  1. Attend TS EAMCET conducted by JNTU on behalf of APSCHE.
  2. Register for counseling after TS EAMCET results are announced. 
  3. During counseling, select KLR Pharmacy College and the course of choice.
  4. If a seat is allotted, reporting to the college for document verification and admission formalities will be required.

For M.Pharma:

  1. Appearing in TS PGECET (or GATE for applicable specializations). 
  2. Register for admission counseling after announcement of results.
  3. Select KLR Pharmacy College and the M.Pharma specialization of preference during counseling.
  4. If selected, go through the admission process at the institution.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: KLR Pharmacy College has an approved intake of 100 for the B.Pharma program. The basis for admission is the TS EAMCET rank of the applicant. The course offers a solid base on pharmaceutical sciences and prepares budding students to take up various positions in the pharma industry.

M.Pharma: KLR Pharmacy College provides collated M.Pharma specialization, thus placing limitation to 15 on each specializations:

  1. M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Analysis
  2. M.Pharma Pharmaceutics
  3. M.Pharma Drug Regulatory Affairs
  4. M.Pharma Industrial Pharmacy

Admittance into these programs is through TS PGECET or GATE scores followed by counseling with the possibility of additional screening by the college to finalize selection.

Pharm.D: The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) program consists of a first intake of 30 seats. This is a program parallel to six years of studies meant for students willing to have careers as clinical pharmacists. Admission is based on TS EAMCET ranking, like in the case of the B.Pharma course.

Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate-This specific program at KLR Pharmacy College is indicated, although the details of the admission take up have not yet been stated. It generally targets graduates of B.Pharma who plan to upgrade their qualifications to Pharm.D level.
