Deccan School of Pharmacy(DSOP), Hyderabad, is a reputed institute focused on pharmaceutical education and training. The college offers various programs recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The DSOP admission process selects the best candidates for its pharmacy programs.
Normally, the primary admission cycle at DSOP commences in April/May every year and coincides with the Telangana State Engineering Agricultural Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). Application Process
The application process at Deccan School of Pharmacy is program-dependent:
For Pharm.D program:
1. Register and sit for the TS EAMCET examination, usually held in April and May.
2. After the examination, check the results, and wait for the publication of the rank list.
3. If qualified, take part in the counseling sessions by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
4. If qualified per rank and category, opt for DSOP and the Pharm.D program in counseling.
5. If a seat is allotted, report to DSOP for document verification and other admission-related formalities.
For M.Pharma programs:
1. Register and appear for the TS PGECET examination, which is usually in June.
2. Check the results and await the rank list announcement.
3. Enter the counseling if qualified.
4. In counseling, select DSOP and the M.Pharma specialization of choice.
5. If a seat is allotted, carry out the admission procedure at DSOP.
Degree wise Admission Process
Pharm.D: The Pharm.D program, being offered at DSOP, has a capacity of 30 seats for its intake. Based on the TS EAMCET scores and the percentage of marks secured in the intermediate (10+2) examination, these students are admitted. This well-rounded consideration ensures that students with a reasonable science background and interest toward pharmacy are selected.
Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate: DSOP has 10 seats available under the Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate program. The program is intended for candidates who possess a B.Pharm degree already. Please verify the exact admission procedure for this program with the admission office of the college.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: The college has 18 seats for M.Pharma Pharmaceutics. Admission into this program would be based on TS PGECET scores and the subsequent counseling process. The minimum qualification required for application is a B.Pharm degree.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Analysis: M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Analysis has an intake of 18 seats and is expected to have similar admission procedures to that of M.Pharma Pharmaceutics based on TS PGECET and counseling.
