Need more improvement in infrastructure and placements.

    College Infrastructure

The overall infrastructure of Meerut College falls short of what a modern academic environment should offer. Many classrooms lack proper ventilation, fans are broken or non-functional during peak summer.

    Academics

Faculty members are experienced and possess a wealth of knowledge. However, the teaching approach leans towards completing the syllabus swiftly, which may not cater to in dept understanding. Teachers are always ready to help.

    Placements

Placement for B.Com students at Meerut College are limited. The college's placement cell is still developing. Students often rely on personal initiatives and external coaching to explore job opportunities.

    College Infrastructure

The campus itself is large and green and provides a serene atmosphere conducive to learning. The campus has several cafeterias and two or three libraries, which give the students sufficient space and resources to study or wind down. The buildings themselves may not be as modern, but the overall campus environment is well-suited for academic life.

    Academics

The faculty staff in the Department of Mathematics is mostly helpful and experienced. Most of them are friendly and help students academically and personally. The course is reasonably taxing with frequent internal tests and assignments. The college is very strict with exams, and the academic pressure at times seems too much because of continuous testing and a strict timetable.

    Placements

As far as placements are concerned, things do not look good for Meerut College students studying BSc Mathematics. There are practically no placements provided by the college to students of this course. The students generally need to find out opportunities for their career or further studies on their own after completion of graduation.

    College Infrastructure

The campus is quite old and feels outdated in many parts. Some bulidings are in need of maintenance, especially the classrooms, which are big but not very clean or comfortable. Benches are old and there is no air-conditioning in lecture halls.

    Academics

The Teachers are experienced, but not all of them are approachable. A few professors explain the concepts well, especially in accounts and economics. Some others follow only textbook methods are rarely use real-life examples. The academic schedule is followed strictly, and exams are taken seriously.

    Placements

Meerut College has a placement cell, but it doesn't seem active or visible to students. While the college does have a long-standing reputation in the city, the companies that come for commerce students offer very basic packages, often not enough to meet career expectations.

    College Infrastructure

Classroom are equipped with aging furniture, and the lack of proper ventilation makes summer particularly challenging. Wi-fi connectivity is inconsistent, often hindering online research and study. Restroom facilities are in dire need of maintenance, with basic issues like broken latches.

    Academics

The teaching methods leans heavily on rote learning, with an emphasis on completing the syllabus rather than fostering deep understanding. Students often find themselves self-studying to grasp complex concepts, highlighting a gap in interactive and engaging teaching practices.

    Placements

For M.Com students at Meerut College, placement opportunities are scarce. The college's placement cell exists, but its effectiveness is limited, especially for postgraduate commerce students. Many students find themselves navigating the job market independently.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is very good for a government college. The library is stocked with good books on mathematics and science, which is a big advantage. The classrooms are spacious, and there are different labs for the practical subjects, though as a math student I do not have much use for labs. The campus is huge and has a lot of greenery, which gives a calm atmosphere.

    Academics

The teachers in the Mathematics department are experienced and qualified. They describe things well, and their methodology is more theory-based, as is common for a math class. Some instructors are quite friendly and assist outside of class time, particularly when it comes to preparing us for competitive exams.

    Placements

Honestly, there are no job placements offered by the college for B.Sc. Mathematics students. All of us either intend to pursue higher studies like M.Sc. or prepare for government exams. So if you want job offers immediately after graduation, this is not the best choice.

    College Infrastructure

The college has a basic and old infrastructure. The classrooms are large but really plain—think chalkboards and wooden benches. The library, however, is actually a good thing; it's large and has a good selection of books, which helps come exam time. There is a computer lab as well, but it's not the most cutting-edge. The campus itself is large with some space for sports, but don’t expect anything super modern. Also, there’s no hostel, so you’ll have to find accommodation outside if you’re not from Meerut.

    Academics

The best part of Meerut College is probably the teachers. The college is affiliated with CCS University, so the syllabus is set by the university, and the faculty sticks to it well. The majority of the professors are very experienced and explain things clearly.

    Placements

Honestly, placement opportunities for Meerut College BCom students are quite scarce. The college has a placement cell, but it doesn't happen to be very active for the commerce students. A few local companies in fields like basic accounting and sales come once in a while, but if you’re aiming for a good corporate job, you’ll likely have to search on your own or pursue higher studies like CA, CS, or an MBA.there are not much support by the college side.

    College Infrastructure

The college's infrastructure is basic and shows signs of aging. Classroom are often overcrowded, and facilities like projectors and Wi-Fi are either outdated or non-functional. The library has a limited collection of books, and students have reported issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

    Academics

Faculty members are generally good but the teaching methods are traditional, relying heavily on lectures with minimal interactive or practical sessions. Some students feel that the curriculum is outdated and doesn't align well with current industry standards.

    Placements

The placement opportunities for B.com students at Meerut College are limited. While the college has a placement cell, its outreach could be enhanced. Many students opt for further studies or competitive exams, indicating that campus placements may not be a primary focus.
