Good govt college but lack in placement.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is very good for a government college. The library is stocked with good books on mathematics and science, which is a big advantage. The classrooms are spacious, and there are different labs for the practical subjects, though as a math student I do not have much use for labs. The campus is huge and has a lot of greenery, which gives a calm atmosphere.

    Academics

The teachers in the Mathematics department are experienced and qualified. They describe things well, and their methodology is more theory-based, as is common for a math class. Some instructors are quite friendly and assist outside of class time, particularly when it comes to preparing us for competitive exams.

    Placements

Honestly, there are no job placements offered by the college for B.Sc. Mathematics students. All of us either intend to pursue higher studies like M.Sc. or prepare for government exams. So if you want job offers immediately after graduation, this is not the best choice.

    College Infrastructure

The college has a basic and old infrastructure. The classrooms are large but really plain—think chalkboards and wooden benches. The library, however, is actually a good thing; it's large and has a good selection of books, which helps come exam time. There is a computer lab as well, but it's not the most cutting-edge. The campus itself is large with some space for sports, but don’t expect anything super modern. Also, there’s no hostel, so you’ll have to find accommodation outside if you’re not from Meerut.

    Academics

The best part of Meerut College is probably the teachers. The college is affiliated with CCS University, so the syllabus is set by the university, and the faculty sticks to it well. The majority of the professors are very experienced and explain things clearly.

    Placements

Honestly, placement opportunities for Meerut College BCom students are quite scarce. The college has a placement cell, but it doesn't happen to be very active for the commerce students. A few local companies in fields like basic accounting and sales come once in a while, but if you’re aiming for a good corporate job, you’ll likely have to search on your own or pursue higher studies like CA, CS, or an MBA.there are not much support by the college side.

    College Infrastructure

The college's infrastructure is basic and shows signs of aging. Classroom are often overcrowded, and facilities like projectors and Wi-Fi are either outdated or non-functional. The library has a limited collection of books, and students have reported issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

    Academics

Faculty members are generally good but the teaching methods are traditional, relying heavily on lectures with minimal interactive or practical sessions. Some students feel that the curriculum is outdated and doesn't align well with current industry standards.

    Placements

The placement opportunities for B.com students at Meerut College are limited. While the college has a placement cell, its outreach could be enhanced. Many students opt for further studies or competitive exams, indicating that campus placements may not be a primary focus.

The college is good required some upgrade only.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is good it is one of the oldest college of India and having all the required in facilities in the college. I really like this college and there overall is good and very wide college.

    Academics

The academics are one of the best that all the experienced teachers proffesors are having wide and deep knowledge the teach the best of their knowledge. We gave vast knowledge and skills from the college.

    Placements

The placements opportunities are not the best one the placements percentage is less as compared to the other college but in this college the main focus is on skills and knowledge development in the college.

College is overall good and required some upgradition

    College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure faces several challenges like inconsistent internet facilities that affects the students ability to access online resources. Classroom often lack proper ventilation and functional fans, making it uncomfortable during summer months.

    Academics

The academic experience has its drawbacks because there is a tendency to rush through the syllabus without ensuring student comprehension, leading to a superficial understanding of subjects. Many students study primary to pass exams rather than to gain-in-depth knowledge.

    Placements

The placement opportunities for B.Com students at Meerut College appear to be limited. Many students opt for further studies or competitive exams that indicates the campus placement may not be a primary focus. While the college has a placement cell, and outreach of this cell could be enhanced.

    College Infrastructure

The college campus is pretty big and carries a nice old-school vibe. Some buildings have a cool heritage feel,The fans sometimes just don't cut it, and the benches have seen better days. The library's decent with a good mix of books,

    Academics

The teachers are super knowledgeable and experienced, no doubt. Professors really focused on theory, and you won't see a lot of practical examples or new teaching methods. But, if you keep showing up to classes, you'll definitely soak up some good knowledge.

    Placements

Honestly, if you're checking out placements for B.Com students, there's not a ton happening, Our batch get oftenly any visits even from small startups,So, if you're coming here with high hopes for placements after B.Com, it's wise to be ready to hunt for opportunities yourself.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure seriously needs a makeover. Many classrooms are aging and neglected. We’re always dealing with a lack of basics like clean drinking water and functional fans during the hot summers.the library has old books mostly.there is no canteen for students.

    Academics

College is linked with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, but the teaching staff here is mostly old.there's a real need for some young, energetic teachers to inject new and modern ways of teaching commerce. Plus, there's not enough permanent staff, so guest or temporary lecturers handle a lot of the teaching.

    Placements

Honestly, placements are pretty much a rare here. You’d be lucky if even 3 to 5 companies make a campus visit, and that’s just to tick a box. Most of us end up prepping for government exams or considering further studies because the college doesn’t really offer any solid placement backing. They keep telling us to rely on the CCS University system, but let’s face it, B.Com students barely see any placement opportunities.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of Meerut College is good. The classrooms are well-spaced, and the campus is clean. The library is also good, with a good collection of books and research material, which are suitable for students. There are computer labs with good computers and Wi-Fi connections in some areas. The campus is green and peaceful, which is a suitable place for study.

    Academics

Faculty members are very knowledgeable and helpful people. Professors are highly educated, having higher qualifications in statistics and related fields, and present concepts in understandable ways. The college is affiliated with CCS UNIVERSITY and Great teaching technique blended with proper execution of theoretical aspects and practical exercises of statistics makes the faculty fantastic.

    Placements

Placements for B.Sc. Statistics are not bright. There are virtually no opportunities offered by the university itself, and students have to look for employment or further studies on their own mostly. No placement cell exists in the university for this course, and hardly any companies recruit for statistics.

    College Infrastructure

The college has all the infrastructures but lacks modern equipment. The classrooms are large, and there is a library with a good collection of books, but smart boards, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi are absent.

    Academics

The facilitators are very mature and experienced, particularly in the fields of taxation, accounting, finance, and business law. They are useful and guide students in the right direction, focusing more on theory than practice. Semester exams are quite challenging, and students need to study thoroughly to obtain good grades.

    Placements

Placements are not up to the mark. Off-campus placements or direct search for government jobs, banking, or private sectors by the students themselves would be better. The maximum package is very low compared to other colleges, and the average amount of salary offered also is not impressive.

    College Infrastructure

The college's infrastructure is mediocre. The rooms are large enough but do not have modern facilities such as smart boards or digital study materials. The library has a reasonable collection of commerce books, but computer labs and internet facilities are insufficient. The campus is functional but poorly maintained with some facilities due for renewal.

    Academics

The biggest asset of Meerut College is the teaching faculty, with the professors being government-appointed and well-qualified. They have in-depth subject expertise but employ traditional teaching techniques that are more theoretical in nature. The M.Com course follows university guidelines, and while it provides a sound academic foundation, students need to go out seeking further practical exposure and certifications to make them employable.

    Placements

placements for M.Com students in Meerut College are very scarce. Very few students get placements, and when they do, the placement is in smaller organizations or local firms. There are no industry interfaces in the college, so the students have to independently secure jobs after the completion of the course.
