Science students benefit from functional laboratories equipped for practical work, while the college's computer and BCA labs cater to those in technical programmes. The campus includes a canteen, medical room, bank facility, gymnasium, and a well-maintained auditorium used for seminars and cultural events. Separate hostels for boys and girls ensure that students from outside Prayagraj can study comfortably without worrying about accommodation.
The curriculum, aligned with University of Allahabad standards, builds a strong conceptual foundation that serves students well in competitive examinations, higher studies, and research. The college offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. programmes, reflecting its commitment to academic depth at every level. Regular assignments, seminars, and internal assessments keep students engaged throughout the year. Departments like Law, Economics, and Hindi have particularly distinguished themselves over these years.
Top recruiters like TCS, HCL, Mahindra, and others have recruited from the campus. In 2024, nearly 1,950 students secured placements across various sectors. The cell also encourages students to pursue higher studies and professional certifications, recognising that career-building goes beyond campus drives alone.
The overall infrastructure of the college is okayish. You'll get everything you need at one place. We have decent library, equipments in labs and required technical instrument which were essential for the course.
The college focuses on a balance of both practical and theoretical knowledge which helped us in gaining meaningful understanding and knowledge related to the field. The course was a mix of traditional and modern concept so overall okay.
The placement facility of our college wasn't good. None of my known batchmates got placed anywhere by the college. We get few companies on placement drive but they were focused on hiring only top of the batch students and were offering bare minimum.
Yes value for the money
Overall good.
The infrastructure is modern and visually impressive. The college has invested a lot in sustainable infrastructure, so you’ll see solar panels on roofs and rainwater harvesting setups everywhere. The labs are up-to-date with industry-standard software, which is a major plus point for practical learning. The library portal allows you to access thousands of e-journals from your hostel room, which was incredibly useful during my final year project. However, the elevator situation in the multi-story academic blocks is terrible. There are only two lifts for a five-story building packed with hundreds of students, meaning you almost always end up taking the stairs if you want to be on time for a lecture.
That energy is infectious, even when you're running on four hours of sleep. The curriculum is rigidly structured, which can occasionally feel suffocating, but the practical lab sessions are where everything clicks. We aren't just memorizing textbooks; we are designing experiments and troubleshooting errors. The department also pushes undergraduate research heavily, meaning you can actually work on real-world projects if you show initiative.
As a recent graduate, I’d rate the placement cell a solid 7 out of 10. They genuinely try to get everyone a job, but sometimes it feels like a numbers game for them rather than focusing on quality roles. Startups visit the campus quite frequently now, offering dynamic roles but slightly lower stability. I chose to go with a mid-sized tech firm because the growth prospects seemed better than the standard mass recruiters. The average CTC for our batch was around 6.5 LPA. The biggest hurdle during the placement drive is the sheer volume of students. When 500 people are applying for the same 10 slots, luck plays a massive factor. My tip is to focus heavily on your communication skills. I saw incredibly smart guys get rejected just because they panicked during the Group Discussion round.
The campus infrastructure is pretty solid overall. The entire campus is pedestrian-friendly, with neat walkways and plenty of trees providing shade. The seminar halls and main auditorium are top-notch, featuring excellent acoustics and comfortable seating. My main issue is with the daily maintenance. While the main administrative buildings are kept spotless, the student washrooms in the academic blocks often lack basic hygiene items like hand soap or working flushes by the afternoon. The cafeteria options are great, though; we have a main mess and three smaller private food courts that serve everything from South Indian breakfast to fast food at reasonable prices. The medical center is open 24/7, which provides peace of mind, especially for hostel students.
My experience with campus placements was full of ups and downs. I got rejected in the final rounds of two companies before finally getting selected by a prominent tech consultancy. The average package sits comfortably around 6.5 LPA, with a few outliers touching 18+ LPA. The placement team is run mostly by student coordinators supervised by faculty, which means communication is quick but can sometimes get chaotic when schedules overlap. They are very strict about attendance in pre-placement talks.
Placements here are a mixed bag. If you are proactive, you'll thrive. The college has tie-ups with some really reputable brands, especially for marketing and HR streams. The placement season is incredibly intense; the campus turns into this high-stress zone for two months. What I appreciated was the transparency of the process. Everything is managed through an online portal where shortlists and schedules are updated in real-time. The average package was decent, around 7 LPA, which justifies the ROI to an extent. However, the placement cell can feel a bit elitist at times, focusing more energy on the top 10% of the batch while leaving the rest to figure things out. If you are an average student academically, you will need to push yourself extra hard outside of the classroom to stand out.
It's a decent college
CMP Degree College, Prayagraj, offers a stable academic environment with essential facilities suitable for a government-aided institution. While the college meets basic infrastructural and academic needs, there is scope for improvement in modernization, maintenance, and student amenities. It is a reasonable choice for students seeking affordable education with a disciplined campus atmosphere.
I studied BSc Mathematics (Maths group) at CMP Degree College. I chose this course because I have a strong interest in logical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical subjects, and mathematics provides a solid foundation for various career paths such as teaching, research, data analysis, and competitive exams. The quality of teaching at the college is good overall. Most of the faculty members are knowledgeable and experienced in their subjects. They explain concepts clearly and are supportive when students approach them with doubts. However, the teaching is largely theory-oriented, with limited use of practical applications, modern tools, or interactive teaching methods. The curriculum followed is mostly traditional and focuses on core mathematical subjects like algebra, calculus, and differential equations. While this builds a strong theoretical foundation, it does not fully include recent developments or industry-oriented topics such as data science, programming, or applied mathematics. As a result, the course by itself does not make students completely job-ready. Students need to pursue additional skills, certifications, or higher studies to improve their employability. The degree is more suitable for those planning for higher education, teaching, or competitive examinations, rather than immediate placement after graduation.
CMP Degree College, Prayagraj has average placement opportunities, especially for traditional courses like BSc Mathematics. Around 20–30% of students get placed, mainly from commerce and vocational streams. The highest package is approximately ₹4–5 LPA, while the average salary ranges between ₹1.5–2.5 LPA. Placement support is limited, and students largely depend on self-efforts or higher studies. Academically, the college is supportive, but placements are not its main strength.
The annual fee for the BSc Mathematics course at CMP Degree College, Prayagraj was affordable, around ₹5,000–₹8,000. Considering the low cost, the quality of education, structured syllabus, and supportive faculty made the course good value for money.
CMP Degree College is a historic and reputable government college in Prayagraj offering diverse courses, decent faculty support, and opportunities for cultural, sports and community activities. The infrastructure is solid in many areas, though parts need maintenance or modernization. The environment is generally academic but not ultra-vibrant like metro university campuses — so it suits students focused on studies and local engagement
I would suggest the student should opt main campus of University of Allahabad instead of CMP degree college. If you do not have any issue with budget go for some other universities like Delhi university.
The college offers modern classroom, digital labs ,spacious libraries ,sports facilities, Wi-Fi campus ,clean hostels and well maintained spaces that support learning creativity and learning skills ..
The academics are well structural with experience faculty, updated circulum regular assignments ,and supportive learning resources that help students build strong concepts and good learning.............
Placements are decent with regular company visits helping training sessions and good support from the placement cell spring get guidance for interviews and many secure rules with friendly students....
The college offers good value for money with reasonable fees quality teaching supporting faculty and useful facilities .student fail the overall experience matches well with the cost
Campus life fails dull with limited events fever active clubs and not much student interactions that mustfair can feel monotonous and their aren't enough it activities to keep students engaged
Campus life is decent with friendly students and the safe and safe environment but events are limited and clubs activity are in very active they are good atmosphere to it can feel dull at time
Classes are really good and teachers are friendly and helping Nature. I'm really glad that I'm studying in this college. College have library, laboratories, hostel but there is no wifi connection. The canteen is not so good taste i average i have bad experience from college canteen. Although college is good for studying.
My experience at the college has been very good overall. The classes are conducted regularly, which helps students stay consistent in their studies. The teachers are very friendly, supportive, and always ready to guide us whenever we face any difficulty. Their teaching methods are clear and student-centered, which makes learning much easier and interesting. The college also has a good academic environment. Students are encouraged to participate in classroom discussions, seminars, and other academic activities. The overall academic performance of the college is quite strong, and many students achieve excellent results in university examinations.
There is no placement . Various extracurricular activities are organized throughout the year, such as cultural programs, sports competitions, and educational workshops. These events give students a chance to show their talents and develop confidence and teamwork skills. The college also provides proper guidance for future careers through counseling sessions and competitive exam support. Overall, I feel this college offers a balanced environment focusing on both academics and personality development.
Not great infrastructure been provided in the classes. No proper ventilation in the classes. There is need of good facilities and it would be appreciated if they provide so. No regular classes being conducted.
Teachers are very knowledgeable and they also teach very well and are very communicative with students but classes don't run regularly so there a scope for improvement in the punctuality of the classes.
In my opinion packages are really bad in this college and no good companies or opportunities for students and they really need to work for this because students will not be interested in this college of there are not good packages.
No, I wouldn't rate it value for money.
Average and moderate college life.
Overall my review is as my rating an average one. All the facilities are also average because of the separation of the law faculty from the main campus. The toilets are not that hygienic, no proper drinking water, roads in front of the class are in a very bad condition.
Initially classes were not conducted regularly but nowadays they do but still there are a lot of cancellation of the classes. Teachers overall are okay if you leave some of them. Teachers are also partial with some of the students.
Didn't ever came to onow about a very good package maybe because I'm law. When it comes my course I have to be dependent on myself and my sources in high vourt or other courts. But in my opinion not that good if you're looking for a good package.
Not at all value for money as we pay around 50k per year and facilities and packages are not upto mark. If I have pay this much it's better to do ba and llb separately which will be cheaper for me.
Not at all happy with it as there are no events taking place no extra curricular activities conducted by the college. Whatever we need to do we have to do it on our own.
No there's nothing else and I would never suggest this college to anyone.
Good infrastructure and better environment well experienced teacher teach us, lab activities also available, proper workshop and seminar conducted in this college all ug and pg course available, admission is on the basis of entrance exam.
I am persuing BCA+MCA(data science) from this college and here well educated , experienced teacher teach.proper workshop and seminar conduct, lab activities also available, other subjects like music and nation building available.
No, here placement is not available but proper helping to the students related placement and internship. Workshop and seminar also conducted. But students were placed to their dream company through guiding.
