A small playground is available. The library is excellent. Indoor games like table tennis, chess, carrom, etc., are available. Labs are good. Hostel facilities are not good. The canteen is excellent. The canteen accommodates 50-100 students.
Academics
Engineering mathematics and chemistry teachers are good. Teachers handling C, Java, and Python are average. Exams are difficult due to the affiliation with Osmania University, and the evaluation process can be somewhat difficult
Placements
In our college, almost 75% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 30 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Cognizant, etc., visit our campus. Many students get internships in their second year.
It is a value for money experience overall.

The placement seems promising as the last year highest package was around 10 lpa. I hope that new and better companies will visit the campus in upcoming years. The average package is around 3 lpa only which is a little less.

The college has very good infrastructure with facilities like Wi-Fi, enough classrooms, a cafeteria, and a gym. Currently, the college doesn't have its own hostel, it is under construction and will be completed by July 2025. But, the quality of food in the college canteen is average.

The curriculum of the college closely resembles that of from University. It has a very comprehensive assessment type exams. The college conducts exams two times a semester. The difficulty of papers is not that much, it is up to the board level.
Placements
Our college has good placements. The top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, and Worldline. Many students also grab off-campus opportunities. One student from the previous batch get placed in Microsoft, and a girl get an internship at Amazon. The college is constantly making efforts to improve placements.

Collegehas one of the finest infrastructures in the entire state. With around 12 colleges in the complex, it becomes a great place for every student to be a part of. Almost every department has its own dedicated labs for related topics, which are fully functional and supervised by two lab assistants. There are around 40 classrooms in the college, and each department is allotted classrooms dedicated solely to its students to avoid any hassle.

Faculty members in every branch are highly educated and have a strong understanding of the subjects. Students are taught almost every topic mentioned in the curriculum, ensuring that nothing is left untouched. Along with theoretical knowledge, practical and real-life knowledge is also provided to ensure overall development and personality enhancement.

There is a placement cell on campus that assists students in securing good placements in the industry. There are many pool campus drives for reputed companies that are also held here, including companies like Johnson Controls and Hewlett Packard, which are attended by many colleges in the city. Most companies offer the role of Graduate Engineer Trainee to undergraduate students. Many companies like Wipro and Neuman & Esser offer internship plus placement opportunities

I interacted with the senior student who got hired by a company from our college. The ratio of getting hired from campus is slightly less but if a student somehow maintains good grades and have some skills will likely get hired.

The main buildings are solidly constructed and present a dignified, modern appearance from the outside. The classrooms are generally comfortable and large enough to seat our entire student intake easily. Access to clean restrooms is maintained adequately throughout the various floors and wings of the structure. I only wish the college could offer a slightly larger, more accessible open area for students to simply relax and congregate.

The core curriculum is extremely rigorous.They introduce advanced concepts like econometrics and statistical modeling relatively early in the second semester. This accelerated pace feels a little overwhelming to me, hence the small deduction in the rating. Nevertheless, professors readily provide exceptional, personalized mentorship and additional guidance outside of scheduled class hours.

For Economics students specifically, there is a clear observation that many graduates prefer to pursue higher education immediately after the degree. I believe the college must focus on attracting a more diverse set of recruiters specializing in core economic and consulting roles.

Life on campus feels energetic particularly during the various intercollegiate functions and cultural festival seasons. As an exclusively women's college, there is a very strong sense of mutual respect and genuine sisterhood cultivated among all students. The college's location in the city centre and its resultant smaller campus size means common areas like the student cafeteria can become quite congested and noisy.

The placement officers are highly supportive and help students with mock interviews and career guidance. Internships are also arranged in reputed firms, giving students valuable exposure before graduation.

However, the one area that I feel genuinely struggles is the parking and entry-exit during peak hours as it can get incredibly congested outside. The auditorium is grand and frequently used for college events, making it a dynamic hub of activity. Overall, the facilities strongly support the academic mission, even if expansion is clearly constrained by the location.

The curriculum for Master of Commerce in Accounting and Finance is current and aligns well with university standards, covering all the core subjects rigorously. Some of the faculty members are truly helpful but unfortunately, consistency is the major problem. A few faculty seem disengaged or simply rush through complex topics without clarifying doubts thoroughly. The evaluation pattern is fair and transparent, although the schedule can sometimes feel quite hectic with simultaneous internal and external assessments.

The placement cell primarily focuses on undergraduate students, and the post-graduate job fairs are sparse or offer roles that do not fully match the specialization in Accounting and Finance. We rarely see major, blue-chip financial or audit firms actively recruiting directly from the campus for the master's cohort. The college provides some resume workshops and interview practice sessions, but the actual job roles presented are often with start-ups or smaller firms with lower remuneration packages.

Honestly, the energy of Shri Shikshayatan is its defining characteristic, the environment is buzzing with enthusiasm and creativity.There is an incredibly active schedule of events, ensuring there is always something worthwhile happening, whether it is a seminar or a cultural competition. We have access to clean and well-maintained rest rooms on every floor, and the main auditorium is modern and impressive for large events and cultural programs. The student lounge areas are relatively small but functional, and the recent minor upgrades to the primary internet connectivity have certainly made researching slightly less frustrating for all the students here. I really wish they would invest in fully modernized digital projection screens in every classroom to make presentations much easier to manage effectively.

While one or two of our senior Economics professors are absolutely stellar, bringing insightful research and current case studies directly into the classroom discussions with great enthusiasm, a few others seem to rely heavily on slightly dated lecture notes and encourage rote memorization instead of critical thinking engagement. The pressure to complete the vast syllabus before the short examination period begins is intense, leading to a sometimes rushed and slightly superficial coverage of several important topics we are trying to grasp.
Placements
My current, albeit very early, impression of the college placement scenario is admittedly not particularly encouraging right now, especially for an Honors student aiming for very specialized roles beyond standard commercial banking or insurance sales immediately after graduation. While the sheer volume of companies that formally visit the campus for recruitment is high, the vast majority of the job profiles offered appear to be frustratingly general and possess disappointingly modest starting salary packages for graduates who have committed four years to a difficult honors degree program.

The student union is incredibly proactive in organizing regular, smaller events like open mic sessions and departmental gatherings, ensuring there is always something engaging to participate in every single week on campus. Despite the college being a tight, central city building, every corner feels utilized effectively, acting as a natural spot for us to quickly connect and instantly socialize with other students from diverse courses available here.
