Zakir Hussain College has situated in the heart of Delhi. It has got an amazing infrastructure. There are numerous cultural societies that you could take part in. Teachers provide amazing support to students.they are highly qualified. Placements are moderate with a scope of improvisation. Teachers are quite helpful that extend your support for various task and take the pain. The college is close to CP. The college is easily accessible. The nearest metro station is New Delhi metro station and buses are also available nearby. Classrooms are average with a scope of improvement. Labs are nicely maintained with an availability of the required things. The food available at the college canteen is delicious and also available at a cheap rate.Percentage of people getting placed vary every year. A good number of people are placed on campus from the college. Although there is a scope of improvement. Salary packages vary from 3 lac to 8 lac per annum.overall college is amazing in terms of location, hangout points, faculty, infrastructure etc.

College which gave me a bag full of mixed experiences

College Infrastructure is just fine, it is not something to brag about. However, as compare to many other colleges, our college do stand at a better position. Talking about the auditorium, library, ground, things can be considered as appreciating. However, things can be improved in terms of good classrooms, desks, however, one cannot ignore the outside locality. College lacks in terms of placement, college needs to provide more corporate exposure, they have to make sure that good companies are turning up for picking the student, this will highly boost the confidence of students plus improve the reputation of college. College life is good here, however many more can be done in terms of functions, college fest. College fests are very important, however our college is still lacking in organising happening fests. Commerce faculty is good, temporary teachers are good too. :)) College provides you an affordable education..

The college has a good infrastructure. The teachers here are excellent . I am enjoying my college life here . However, the crowd isn't that good. I don't know much about placements procedures but I guess students get nice jobs with decent salary even after completing a simple course like B.Com .

My name was came in 3rd cut off of zakir Hussai clg, now the fifth cut off was released tomorrow can I get admission in it

Akansha Student Expert 21st Jul, 2019

Hey Sneha,

According to the rules of Delhi University, if you are eligible for any College according to a particular cutoff and you have not applied for it you will not be given admission to it in that cutoff. But you can apply for college in next cutoff but as you missed your seat in previous cutoff you will be considered as a 'defaulter' and will be called for admission on the third day of next cutoff.

Good Luck!

What is your review of Zakir Hussain college?? I consider taking admission there. So is there anything I should know about before admission?

Sunanda Dhar Student Expert 19th Jul, 2019

Legacy: The college is pretty, pretty old. Over 300 years to be precise, but under different names. Way back in its time, it was the place for education and spreading of ideas. Stories suggest that even Mirza Ghalib could not be selected to be a professor here, and he stormed out in a bad temper hearing that.

You have a lot of famous people from this college as its alumni. See the number of people who landed up in Pakistan as the main policy makers and leaders post Independence.

Reputation as against other Colleges: If today the college is not considered as reputed as it is supposed to be, its only because of Religion and Politics. Since the people practicing Islam were a minority during the British Regime, and post Independence, neglect and anti-Islam rhetoric was prevalent, creating a deplorable idea about the college, though the college is very secular in its outlook. The reason I feel that is that when Delhi was under a Muslim leader in the 1700s, this college was the hub for knowledge. But as regimes changed, that changed. So yes, Religion and Politics played a major role.

Academics: The college offers 19 courses. Arabic and Persian are one of the few courses that is still considered a big thing here as a pride for the college, but often neglected when one weighs it against the Westernizing narrative. But just to indicate these two languages relevance, when oil-rich countries look for people to work for them in plump positions and remunerations, they mentions these languages as a must. So well, not as bad as it should be, right?

Which college is best satyawati or Zakir Husain college for b.com hons. ???

Sabi Ul Haque Naimi 7th Jul, 2019
Dear candidate,

Well both colleges are good as they both come under university of delhi. Zakir husain is evening and if your comfortable to go in evening than go for that else you should go for satyawati college. Satyawati offers Both morning and evening classes. Well both colleges have good faculty, infrastructure and placement for b.com so choose according to your feasibility.

Hope the answer is helpful.

I am in Zakir Husain college DU I got 6.68 cgpa in 1st year can I get migration into north Campus college plz reply and how??

Nikita Akhuli 3rd Jul, 2019
Hi
The migration policy varies from college to college and as on the course.
Honestly speaking your cgpa is low to get migration. That's because north campus Colleges demand high marks for accepting migration.
You can contact the College authorities directly for better guidance.

All the best
