About JELET 2022
JELET 2022 - WBJEEB has released the WB JELET 2022 admit card at the official website. Applicants can download their WB JELET admit card through application number and date of birth. Earlier, the exam authority has announced the WB JELET 2022 exam date. The WB JELET 2022 exam will be conducted in offline based, pen and paper mode on May 14 from 11 am to 1 PM. The authorities have opened the WB JELET 2022 application form correction window at the official website from February 2 to 3.
Candidates were able to fill the application form of JELET 2022 and submit it till January 31. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria of JELET 2022 before filling the application form. Candidates will have to register online, fill choices and upload required documents within the specified date. The admit card will be released on May 5, 2022. The exam conducting authorities will declare the results in the last week of May 2022. Admission will be done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the JELET 2022 entrance exam.
The authorities will announce the JELET 2022 result in online mode. Candidates who will be declared qualified will be eligible for WB JELET 2022 counselling process. JELET is conducted for admission to 2nd year (3rd semester) of 4-year bachelor degree courses in Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy (except Architecture) courses in participating institutes, government colleges as well as self financing engineering and technological institutes in the state of West Bengal. in the state.

JELET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
JELET B.E Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of JELET 2022 for Engineering & Technology lists the conditions that the candidate has to meet in order to be considered for admission. As per the prescribed eligibility criteria, both diploma holders and graduates can apply for admission into 2nd year of Bachelor Degree courses in Engineering and Technology. However, diploma holders will be given preference during admission. Check below for full details.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply
Nationality – The candidate needs to be an Indian national
Age limit -
- Diploma Holders in Engineering and Technology – No upper age limit has been set.
- Diploma Holders in Marine Engineering – The candidate mustn’t be more than 25 years of age as on December 31, 2022
- B.Sc Candidates – The upper age limit is set at 27 years as on December 31, 2022.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission
|The candidate must have passed the diploma programme with minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) or equivalent CGPA|
|B. Sc. candidates||General category candidate must have scored at least 45% marks, while reserved category candidates need only 40%. |
Additionally, the candidate must have passed Class 12 exam with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Please note that B.Sc candidates will be considered for admission only after exhausting the list of Diploma holders.
|Both Diploma holder and B. Sc. candidates||Will be considered for admission to 1st year Engineering Degree courses, if the seats earmarked for lateral entry is exhausted|
Special Criteria for Jadavpur University
- B.Sc degree holders won’t be considered for admission at the institute
- The candidate needs to have passed the 10+2 (qualifying) exam in the Science stream with a minimum of 60% ( SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD candidates need only 45%) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in regular mode. Additionally, the candidate also must have passed English with at least 30% marks in the qualifying exam.
JELET B.Pharma Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of JELET 2021 for Pharmacy mentioned below have to be fulfilled by all candidates to be considered for admission.
- Nationality – Admissions open to Indian nationals only.
- Age limit - There is no upper age limit.

The JELET application form 2022 was released in online mode on the official website. Before filling the JELET 2022 form, the candidate had to go through the eligibility criteria carefully for appearing in the exam and also the admission process.

Steps to fill the Online JELET Application Form 2022
- Registration – The candidates will need a valid email id and a mobile number, and enter details like name, the name of parents, date of birth, etc. to get registered.
- Filling of application form – Upon JELET 2022 registration, next information pertaining to personal, academic, and communication details has to be furnished.
- Uploading of documents – In this step, the photograph and signature had to be uploaded in the prescribed format, as shown in the table below.

JELET 2022 Exam Pattern
Candidates who plan to appear in the entrance exam should get themselves acquainted with the exam pattern of JELET 2022. This is because the structure of the exam can vary depending on the qualifying exam the candidate has passed.
For example, diploma holders in engineering and technology aren’t required to attempt questions from the Mathematics sections, which is meant for B.Sc degree holders. The question type however is common for all candidates. JELET exam 2022 has however been cancelled due to covid pandemic.
Exam pattern of JELET 2022
- Mode and duration : The exam will be OMR (offline) based and of 2 hours duration
- Number of paper : There will be one paper
- Type of question asked : Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) questions will be asked. Each question will have four answer options, but only one of these will be correct.

Only one option is correct.
Correct option will yield 1 (one) mark
Incorrect option will yield -¼ (negative ¼) marks.
For any combination of more than one option, even if it contains the correct option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -¼ (negative ¼) marks.
Not attempting the question will fetch 0 marks.
One or more options are correct.
Marking all correct options only will yield 2 (two) marks.
For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect options, the said answer will be treated as incorrect, and it will yield zero (0) mark even if one or more of the chosen options is/are correct.

JELET 2022 Admit Card
The admit card of JELET 2022 has been released by the authorities in online mode at the official website. The JELET 2022 admit card has to be downloaded by logging in using one’s log-in credentials. The candidate have to ensure they do not lose or damage the admit card, as it is an important document.

Mode of Counselling: Offline
The centralized counselling of JELET 2022 will be conducted in online mode and will be open to only those candidates who have been allotted ranks. The JELET counselling process includes online registration, document upload and choice filling.

The candidates will also be eligible to apply for first-year admission if seats in the second year (lateral entry) are not available.
- Engineering/Technology: The candidates must have passed a Diploma in Engineering/ Technology with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD) from an AICTE approved Institution.
- All the relevant norms of DG shipping will be applicable for admission into the degree course in Marine Engineering.
