BTech Fees Structure

BTech fees differ from one university to another and mostly depend on the type of engineering college. Before enrolling in any particular college, students should check the B.Tech admission process, BTech eligibility criteria and fees. The average course fee ranges from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 20 Lakhs.

Why Choose BTech Course?

There are multiple reasons to choose the Bachelor of Technology programme as the undergraduate degree programme. Individuals who have an interest in the invention of things or are filled with curiosity about how instruments, machines or software are developed, can opt for the BTech degree programme. Bachelor of Technology is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of mathematics, engineering principles, computer applications, programming and electronics.

Depending on their interest, students can opt for any specialisation such as B.Tech CSE, BTech in Textile Technology, B.Tech ME, B.Tech ECE and numerous other specialisations. BTech degree provides ample job opportunities in the field of engineering and also equips students with practical knowledge and skills for life.

BTech Eligibility Criteria

For admissions into BTech programmes, students will have to qualify for the 10+12th examination from the science stream from any board. If a student is interested or wants to get into a BTech programme, it is advised to study PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) as the main subject, as individuals from this subject group are preferred for the programme. In this section, we have mentioned the eligibility for B.Tech after 12th.

  • Candidates should have scored at least 50 per cent marks in major subjects such as Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and Chemistry, in their class 10+2 from a recognised board.
  • They need to qualify the entrance exam held by the colleges and universities you have applied for.
  • After passing the entrance examinations, candidates need to appear for the counselling process.

BTech Course Duration

BTech course duration is four years, which is divided into eight semesters. BTech course covers the introductory subjects of engineering and technology and unlike other degrees, BTech has multiple specialisations. Although students can opt for an MTech degree programme to advance their career. The four-year B Tech course covers practical classes, dissertation, project work and theories.

BTech Admission Process

In India, becoming an engineer is something most science students strive for. Therefore, the competition to gain BTech admission into the top engineering institutes of India is quite difficult.

  • The BTech admission process depends majorly on the entrance examination and also on the colleges students want to apply for.
  • Students who want to apply for the B.tech degree programme, need to appear for the various entrance examinations or tests, such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, and AP EAMCET.
  • These entrance examinations help the institutes to admit students according to merit. Based on the performances in the above-mentioned entrance examinations, individuals are selected and further screening processes take place, before finally gaining admission to B Tech course.

BTech Admission without Entrance Exam

Students who want to pursue a BTech degree programme, but find difficulty to score good marks in JEE Main, can also pursue the degree programmes without appearing for the counselling process. BTech admission without entrance exam is not necessarily without the exam but with low score in it. Students need to follow the below-mentioned criteria for direct admission to BTech:

  • The students must have completed 10+2 from a recognised board in India.
  • Aspiring candidates should pass their 10+2 in the Science stream, which includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. English is a compulsory subject to apply for the BTech degree programmes.

BTech admission requires various documents for verification at the time of final admission. Below, we have listed some of the important documents that are required for admission in the top engineering colleges in India.

  • JEE Main admit card and mark sheet
  • Class 10 mark sheet
  • Class 11 mark sheet
  • Class 12 mark sheet
  • Valid ID proof
  • Passport size photographs

Have a question related to B.E /B.Tech ?
Dear Aspirant
No you cannot correct it but what you can do is fill another JEE Mains entrance examination form with the correct details as NTA allows you to give both JEE Mains and B.Arch examination. So do not worry about that
All the best

Hey Darshan,

Fee structure of B.E./B.Tech. in BMSIT through KCET will be  2,13,840 rupees per year.

Hi

No, jee main Paper 2 is for B. Arch and B. Planning.

Jee main Paper 1 is for BE/Btech

To help you further,

JEE Main 2022 examination pattern for both paper 1 and Paper 2 is provided below

>>>>>>>>>>> PAPER -1 ( for BE / B. Tech)

JEE Mains 2022 examination paper 1 , will have 90 question, out of which 75 questions needs to be attempted

And these questions are from three subjects :-

  • *  30 questions from physics.

  • * 30 questions  from Chemistry .

  • * 30 questions  from maths.

The 30 questions  in each Subject,  is divided into two sections -

  • *Section A :- A Section contains 20 MCQs or multiple-choice questions. Four options are there  out of which one is correct . And you have to choose the correct option.

  • * Section B :- it has 10 questions whose answer is a numerical value , no options is there ,  you need to enter or type your answer  i. e numerical value .

††††† One has to attempt only 5   questions out of the  total 10 numerical value questions in section B.

So, out of 30 questions in each subject only 25 questions are to be attempted, so in total  25 x 3 = 75 questions out of 90 questions are to be attempted.

Each question carries 4 marks

Exam is conducted for a total of

= 75 x 4

= 300 marks

----------------------) Marking scheme :-

  • *4 marks will be awarded for your every correct answer

  • *   1 mark will be deducted for your every wrong answer in  case of both mcqs ( section A) and numeric value answer ( i. e section B)

  • 0 marks for questions not attempted.
