Transportation Engineering, a branch of Civil Engineering involved in the planning, design, operation, and maintenance of safe and efficient transportation systems, is part of Civil Engineering. Chandigarh University’s Postgraduate program, along with these skills, will prepare the students to construct effective structures and improve quality of life through the provision of infrastructure.
These systems include roadways, railways, waterways, and intermodal operations. Typically, the demand is the amount of traffic (people, cars, railcars, barges) that is expected to use a particular transportation facility, while the supply is the quantity and type of infrastructure components (roadways, bridges, pavements, etc.). These systems are typically large and expensive. With world-class infrastructure and lab facilities at the campus, students also enjoy industry patronage.
A candidate should have passed B.Sc. Engg./ B.Tech/ B.E. Degree/ M.Sc. or equivalent examination in the relevant discipline as mentioned below: Met. & Mat. Engg./ Mech. Engg./ E&C/ Electronics from any recognized university.
