According to me you should go for IT in University institute of engineering and technology (UIET) as the Placements there are far better then ECE at CCET. At UIET Average Package of 6.3LPA is offered and the highest package of 40LPA was offered , which is alot more than what is offer at CCET . Also you should go for IT only because there you will get alot more job offers as Compared to ECE.

Based on Placements Instrumentation and Control Engineering at National Institute of Technology Jalandhar is better than Computer Science Engineering at University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chandigarh Punjab University.
