72 MonthsPh.D Design shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. (Design) (Regular, Sponsored and External): Eligibility criteria for admission to Ph.D. programme is:- M.Des/M.Tech./M.Arch. with minimum marks/ CPI in Qualifying Degree. A minimum of 65 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.5 (on the scale of 10.00) shall be required at the master's level qualifying examination. Candidates who are on permanent role in NITs, IIITs, Central Universities, Govt. Universities, Defence R and D organization, PSUs for at least two years shall be eligible to apply for admission under the category of External Registration Programme.
Admission Details
(i) Qualified students will be called for the Test and interview. (ii) Test and interview is intended to examine students drawing skills and design aptitude. (iii) Students are required to bring their portfolio,previous work and related certificates for the interview.
