Yes academics are good in some subject but in some of the subjects of a particular course it's like there is unnecessary information that is irrelevant for the future. Also they didn't provide practical knowledge.

It is overall a good college.

see cutoff score fluctuate every year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, choice of stream, students category and so on. gate cutoff goes lower for private colleges and the main competition is for government colleges. however you did not mention the stream in which you want to take admission.

their is also scholarship for the st/sc students and for OBC/EWS students who are below poverty line as well as their will be scholarship for the topper of every semester in each stream.
