Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati was established in 1954. The university is spread over 1000 acres of land. SVU Tirupati was founded by Late Sri Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu. It is a state university located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The university was started with six departments of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Economics and Philosophy.
