Admission Process per Degree

The MA Programs (Archaeology, Linguistics, and Sanskrit and Lexicography): The Deccan College offers MA program courses in Archaeology, Linguistics, and Sanskrit and Lexicography. Each of these areas has an intake of around 40 students, with MA Sanskrit and Lexicography allowing 25 admissions. The admissions process for MA programs relies on either the candidate's previous academic history or performance in the concerned bachelor's degree.

Ph.D. Programs (Archaeology, Linguistics, Sanskrit, and Lexicography): Ph.D. programs in the Deccan College are practically fully based on research. The entry into Ph.D. departments involves an entrance test conducted by the institute.
