Infrastructure was very good in terms of clinical resources and patient inflow.Hostel was not upto the mark in the first year which was later rectified when a new hostel building was opened..College and library had everything we could ask for

Academics

Academics and teaching faculties were exceptional and we did have exposure to all the kinds of cases one could read in the book..As in any college few weren't great at what they did but the majority were.

Placements

We did have a great exposure during our UG days and even going abroad like Singapore was easy for MMCians.We did have access to PG preparation during our UG days though the time was not sufficient to prepare

Value for Money

The fees was nominal as in any government college..The pay which we received during our training days was not as good compared to the workload we had but the exposure and experience we derived compensated for that

Campus Life

Campus Life was great but we were constantly exhausted during our CRRI days...Canteen could have been better but considering the crowd it was something that we could understand.Duty doctor rooms weren't great ..

My college has given me good clinical exposure

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is not upto the mark and it doesn’t have proper campus. The college in general is clean and have decent hygienic conditions. The classrooms are very congested for a strength of 250 students.

Academics

As madras medical college is one of the best colleges in the country, the teaching is really good, students get good exposure in clinicals. There’s very good patient- student- teacher interaction in the hospital

Placements

There is no issue of placement when it comes to students graduating from madras medical college. The students are well trainee during the internship and are able to manage basic emergency cases necessary for working as a medical officer.

Hope you are doing great!

As we look at the previous years cut-off it is seen that the opening and closing rank for madras medical college was 255 and 755 respectively for last year for general category. 783-979 for obc and 6533-12242 for the reserved category.

As the competition is increasing every year it is expected that this year also the cut off will hike up. So in order to lock a seat in this governement college you need scare a safe number which may be around 650-670 and above.

Yes, BPT course is available in Madras Medical College. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T) is a full-time 4.5-year course offered by Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute University, Chennai. There is no entrance exam candidates have to fill out the application form from the official website. Candidates who have passed 10+2 standard of education from any approved board or university with not less then 40% marks in PCB are eligible for this course. After each round of counselling, MMC Chennai's NEET admission cut offs are made public in the form of opening and closing ranks. MMC Chennai AIQ NEET Cut off 2021 opening and closing ranks for the general category were 255-755, for the OBC category they were 783-979, and for the SC category they were 6533-12242. According to trends from the previous year, general category applicants with an AIQ rank of less than 900 can anticipate admission to MMC Chennai.
