This is one of best Medical College of West Bengal & this college os situated in Kolkata. The college was established in year of 1707 & it is very old & eminent College. Infrastructure wise the college is very good including the labs, hospital & hostels.

The academics of this college is top. The professors are well experienced & their industry exposure helps students to gain valuable knowledge. The courses are very well defined with quality content. The college has a very good reputation for it's academics quality.

The placement of the medical college has touched new feats. Students after graduation & masters do get quality job in the hospital or in other colleges & hospital as various medical officer. Many pursue higher studies. So, the college is doing really good.

This is one of finest medical college in West Bengal. This is a govt college & including separate hostels for boys and girls. There are facilities like big play grounds, canteen, library etc. Other than wifi connection the classrooms, Laboratories are clean & well equipped with required machinery.

Academics of PG medical college is quite good where exams are conducted on semester basis. The professors are really highly qualified and experienced. Curriculum is a bit old, so that needs an upgrade. The question pattern & teaching methods needs also attention as new technologies are being discovered. Overall good academics though.

This is one of premier institute for medical science in West Bengal. After passing out students have to do internships where they get paid around 20k and if they do housestuffship they get paid a little bit more. After MBBS/MD there are job opportunities available in both govt and private colleges.

The infrastructure is top notch. Great lecture theater and labs. Has all the latest equipments to conduct all kinds of tests, radiographs, electron microscope, treatments. All places of work and teaching are air conditioned.

I am pursuing MBBS and currently in first year. The quality of teaching is just like any other college, 95% of professors deliver content in English while the rest mixed with English and local vernacular - Bengali.

The placement is really out of question here. You need to get admission based on your rank in NEXT/NEET PG. The PG seats in many of the departments here require triple digit ranks. The Head & Neck Surgery & ENT Department is The Department of Excellence along with Dept. of Psychiatry.

IPGMER has undoubtedly the best infrastructure among all the medical colleges in West Bengal. The lecture theatres are extremely clean hygienic and fully air conditioned. The laboratories are state of the art. the library is well stocked with a plethora of medical related books. Both the boys and girls hostels are on campus and well maintained.

The faculty are very well trained and knowledgeable. They seamlessly teach the quite difficult syallbi of the course and are very interactive and helpful. All our doubts are cleared. The curriculm is up to date and we are taught to treat patients from our second year itself, making us sufficiently job ready.

MBBS does not have placements. However almost all students are get good clinical or non clinical branches in Postgraduate courses. The salary ranges from 40000 to 80000 varying from branch to branch. The college helps out a lot to ensure success in our postgraduate exams.

As it is a government college, the cost is very less, only 9000 a year.The students get more than theirs money worth.

The college campus is good. It is spread out over a large area and it is like any other hospital campus.The campus is overcrowded with patients but it is still kept very clean. The location is safe.The teachers and support staff are very helpful

The institute is one of the finest institute of Eastern India. It have all the required facilities for a student. Classroom are air conditioned with smart class facilities. Laboratory are well equipped. Library has a huge collection of books and is opened till midnight. The whole campus is cleaned daily. The food available s also hygienic.

The quality of teaching is excellent. The recently improvised curriculum makes you an all rounder Indian Medical Graduate. If you are really interested in MBBS you will learn very nicely, as the faculties are very helpful.

Once you are an alumni of IPGME&R and SSKM , you literally don't have to look back. People all over the eastern India know the quality of doctors produced here, hence they come for their treatment in SSKM.

Endowed with the latest technology and machines to carry out the newest novel procedures in medical science, IPGME&R , Kolkata proudly boasts of a seven floored Academic Building which hosts the UG and PG libraries which facilitate students with free access to a multitude of books and the internet. In MBBS, you don't get paid to study until internship where you would be offered a stipend about 20-30K as per govt norms. If you pursue residency at UG or PG level, again a stipend around 40K per month which for SS courses will be even higher. The institute has produced the best in the country who are easily earning in lacs all over India and abroad.For FMGE grads or externs, you get adequate work exposure. Trains you well with hands on procedures and a healthy patient load.Majority get placed!

Hardly any fee...4500 bucks per semester for 9 semesters with an additional 2k exam fees per university exam..a budget of under 50k , not considering scholarships, which if you manage,then solves further problems. Libraries have enough books and gives internet access. Its an absolute win-win situation,least investment with maximal output! A government college is as good as this can be. The administrators have worked hard to build up the grand Auditorium,the magnificent Trauma Centre, the stupendous Academic building hosting Lecture theatres and Libraries...the common OPD building is in the making and more wards under construction adding to the huge bed count already present. Perfect place if you want to learn,great place if you want to enjoy the process of learning! ENT is now the Centre of Excellence for Head & Neck Surgery !
