    About DAVV

    Established in 1964, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya was formerly known as the University of Indore. The university is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade of ‘A+’. There are more than 220 colleges that are affiliated with DAVV Indore. The university is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). There are more than 30 University Teaching Departments (UTD’S) functioning in the university such as the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), School of Physics, School of Life Sciences, School of Instrumentation, School of Languages etc. 

    The university vision and mission is derived from the university motto- “Dhiyo Yonah Prachodayat”. The university is located in Indore. There are more than 12,000 students currently enrolled in DAVV Indore with a faculty strength of 278. In total, 113 courses are offered to students at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya for admissions at four levels: diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. The university conducts its own entrance examinations for admission to various courses. The Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted at UG and PG levels and Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) is conducted for DAVV Indore M.Phil/Ph.D. admissions.

    DAVV Indore Location

    The university is located at Nalanda Campus, R. N. T., Rabindranath Tagore Marg, Chhoti Gwaltoli, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Sarwate Bus Stand is 1.4 km away and The nearest railway station is Indore Junction at a distance of 1.2 km and it will take around 6 minutes to reach the DAVV Indore. Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport, Indore is the nearest airport at a distance of 8.6 km that will take 10-12 minutes for students to reach the university. Students can take a bus from Sarwate Bus Stand to reach the university.

    DAVV Indore Infrastructure and Facilities

    The university ensures that students don't feel any kind of inconvenience while they are on campus. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya library uses RFID tagging for book safety, TLSS software for issue/deposit and OPAC facility. It has a vast collection of textbooks, periodicals, journals etc. The university has separate hostels for boys and girls working under the supervision of the Chief Warden that ensures the safety and security of students. DAVV Indore has a separate department namely The Directorate of Physical Education and Sports that provides a broad spectrum of sports, recreation, wellness and leisure activities for students, faculty and staff to participate. Furthermore, the university has the State Bank of India branches which provides all the facilities such as ATM, internet banking, deposits, educational loans etc.

    DAVV Indore Courses

    A total of 113 courses are offered at four levels: diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral. Some of the DAVV Indore courses are B.Com Accounting and Tax Management, B.A. Journalism, B.S.W., M.B.A, M.A., M.Sc., M.Phil etc. The university offers 30 doctoral courses. The duration of UG and PG courses is different and will depend on the course a student is applying to, for example, the duration of B.A. Journalism is 3 years, whereas, for M.B.A, it is 2 years.

    DAVV Indore Admissions

    Students are offered DAVV Indore admissions at diploma, UG, PG and doctoral levels. Admissions at DAVV Indore are both entrance and merit-based. For some UG and PG courses admissions, there is an entrance test conducted by the university- CET, whereas for some undergraduate and postgraduate courses merit of the qualifying examination will be considered for DAV Indore admissions. An important point to note is that there will be an entrance test for M.Phil and Ph.D. admissions- Doctoral Entrance Test (DET).

    DAVV Indore Admissions Through CET

    • Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria before applying for admission.

    DAVV Indore Scholarships

    The students studying and who are willing to take admission at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya can apply for various university level, national and state-level scholarships. In order to avail DAVV Indore scholarships, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. For GATE/GPAT qualified candidates, there are 13 stipend seats available offering Rs. 12,400 per month approved by AICTE under Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme. This stipend programme is only available for candidates willing to take admission in M.E/M.Tech except for M.Tech. Programme in Energy and Environment. Students can also apply for other national-level scholarships such as Ishan Uday - Special Scholarship Scheme For North Eastern Region, PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship For Single Girl Child, DRDO Scholarship Scheme Exclusively for Girls etc.

    The university has a well-established training and placement cell that is responsible for DAVV Indore placements.     DAVV Placements

    The training and placement cell of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore is responsible for conducting smooth placement drives and establishing links with the world of work. The main work of the cell is to take care of the DAVV Indore placements and provide training to the students by organising various placement activities such as workshops, seminars, lectures etc. One of the main objectives of the training and placement cell of DAVV Indore is to help students meet their career objectives. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore placement procedure includes sending relevant information to the companies that are recruiting, in return the companies sends the job descriptions, fixing of date and time of campus visits, pre- placements talks, written test, GD and PI and final DAVV Indore placements.

    The university offers admissions at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.  Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya admissions are offered in the following branches: accounting and taxation, journalism, education, life science, physical education, financial accounting, banking, mass communication, biotechnology, library and information science, bioinformatics, genetic, engineering, social work etc. DAVV Indore offers various UG, PG and doctoral levels. Admission to several undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as B.A.Journalism, B.Com Accounting Tax and Management, M.B.A., M.A.(Journalism & Mass Communication) are done on the basis of the Common Entrance Test conducted by DAVV Indore (DAVV CET).     Admissions to some courses at diploma, UG and PG levels are offered on the basis of the merit of the qualifying examination.     DAVV Indore Admission Process for Non-CET Programmes

    • Candidates should only apply for admissions at DAVV Indore after meeting the eligibility criteria.

    • Candidates must apply online by visiting the official website.

    • DAVV Indore admissions will purely be offered on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

    • The final admissions will be offered based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, document verification and payment of the fees.

    DAVV Indore Admission Process for M.E/M.Tech

    • The candidates are advised to only apply for admission at DAVV Indore only if he/she meets the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the university.

    • Candidates must fill the online application form.

    • Candidates must upload all the documents with the application form.

    • It must be noted that preference will be given to GPAT/GATE qualified candidates. Admissions will be offered based on the merit list prepared by the university based on the candidate’s scores in GATE/GPAT.

    • For NON- GATE/GPAT, admission shall be made on the basis of a merit list developed for each programme considering average marks/CGPA admissions.

    DAVV Scholarship

    Scholarships are offered to students by a university/institution/college to either help them financially or reward them for their hard work. The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya offers AICTE scholarships to GATE/GPAT qualified candidates. In total, there are 13 stipend seats approved by AICTE offering Rs. 12,400 per month to candidates admitted to regular M.E./M.Tech programmes except for M.Tech. Programme in Energy and Environment. This DAVV Indore scholarship is under Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme. Out of 13 Stipend seats 3 seats are reserved for SC/ST students of M.P. Domicile and 10 Stipend seats are available for All India candidates. Apart from this, students can apply for various national and state scholarships offered by GOI.     DAVV Admission

    The university offers admissions at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.  Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya admissions are offered in the following branches: accounting and taxation, journalism, education, life science, physical education, financial accounting, banking, mass communication, biotechnology, library and information science, bioinformatics, genetic, engineering, social work etc. DAVV Indore offers various UG, PG and doctoral levels. Admission to several undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as B.A.Journalism, B.Com Accounting Tax and Management, M.B.A., M.A.(Journalism & Mass Communication) are done on the basis of the Common Entrance Test conducted by DAVV Indore (DAVV CET). Whereas, for some courses such as B.S.W., B.Lib.ISc., M.S.W., M.Lib.ISc., B.Sc. (Electronics, Physics, Mathematics); B.Sc. (Electronics, Mathematics, Computer Science); B.Sc. (Yogic Science) are offered based on the merit of the qualifying examination.

    Students desirous of taking admission in M.E/M.Tech, M.Pharma at DAVV Indore must note that Preference will be given to GATE/GPAT qualified candidates. Admission shall be made on a merit list developed on the basis of the GATE/GPAT score for each programme. For NON-GATE/NON-GPAT candidates: Admission shall be made on the basis of a merit list developed for each programme considering average marks/CGPA up to the seventh semester (B.E./ B.Tech./B.Pharm.)/ fifth semester (M.C.A.)/third semester (M.Sc.) The Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) is conducted by  Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore to offer admission to various M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes. Shortlisted candidates based on their performance in DET need to attend an interview conducted by the respective department of the university. 

    DAVV Indore Admissions - UG Programmes

    The university offers 11 courses at the undergraduate level for DAVV Indore UG admissions.     DAVV Indore Admission Process for Non-CET Programmes

    • Candidates should only apply for admissions at DAVV Indore after meeting the eligibility criteria.

    DAVV Indore Doctoral Admission Process

    • Students must meet the eligibility criteria.

    • Students who will score a minimum of 50% marks in DET will be eligible for an interview.

    DAVV provides all necessary facilities to the students. It's infrastructure is excellent classrooms are furnished, it has fans, tubelights, benches, boardetc. The classrooms are properly ventilated. The campus is very clean. It has proper sanitattion facilities. It has library in which books and magazines are available. There is separate sports ground and a sports department from which we can get equipment needed for sports. There is free wifi facility available in college.

    Yes,our college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment.The college library is resourceful and lends books to student thoughout the semester for extended periods. College has auditorium.wifi is also available. Canteen is also available which provides cheap and tasty food. Facilities regarding sports and games are also available but to a very limited degrees. The living spaces are clean and food is also hygienic.

The institute offers numbers of courses including different fields like arts science commerce management it . There are total 6 different diploma courses, 11 undergraduate courses, 66 postgraduate courses, 30 doctoral programmes.

    Sorry to say you but actually you have not mentioned about which course you are talking about that's why it is difficult to tell about all of those eligibility criterias however for UG degrees want should have passed in plus two level with on and average marks and also for masters degree you should pass your bachelor degree with minimum 50% marks.
