Established in 1964, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya was formerly known as the University of Indore. The university is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade of ‘A+’. There are more than 220 colleges that are affiliated with DAVV Indore. The university is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). There are more than 30 University Teaching Departments (UTD’S) functioning in the university such as the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), School of Physics, School of Life Sciences, School of Instrumentation, School of Languages etc.
The university vision and mission is derived from the university motto- “Dhiyo Yonah Prachodayat”. The university is located in Indore. There are more than 12,000 students currently enrolled in DAVV Indore with a faculty strength of 278. In total, 113 courses are offered to students at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya for admissions at four levels: diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. The university ensures that students don't feel any kind of inconvenience while they are on campus. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya library uses RFID tagging for book safety, TLSS software for issue/deposit and OPAC facility. It has a vast collection of textbooks, periodicals, journals etc. The university has separate hostels for boys and girls working under the supervision of the Chief Warden that ensures the safety and security of students. The training and placement cell of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore is responsible for conducting smooth placement drives and establishing links with the world of work. The main work of the cell is to take care of the DAVV Indore placements and provide training to the students by organising various placement activities such as workshops, seminars, lectures etc. One of the main objectives of the training and placement cell of DAVV Indore is to help students meet their career objectives. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore placement procedure includes sending relevant information to the companies that are recruiting, in return the companies sends the job descriptions, fixing of date and time of campus visits, pre- placements talks, written test, GD and PI and final DAVV Indore placements.
According to the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore placement report (according to the NIRF report) for 2018-19 for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, for UG courses, 468 out of 594 eligible students received placement offers while 82 opted for higher studies with an average salary of Rs 4,21,000. On the other hand, for PG (3 years courses), 12 students received job offers whereas 44 opted for higher studies. Scholarships are offered to students by a university/institution/college to either help them financially or reward them for their hard work. The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya offers AICTE scholarships to GATE/GPAT qualified candidates. In total, there are 13 stipend seats approved by AICTE offering Rs. 12,400 per month to candidates admitted to regular M.E./M.Tech programmes except for M.Tech. Programme in Energy and Environment. DAVV CET is an acronym used for Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Common Entrance Test conducted for offering admission to various courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Programmes covered under CET are M.B.A.( Business Economics/Financial Services/Foreign Trade/International Business/ Rural Development/Business Analytics), B.Com Accounting and Tax Management, B.A. Journalism, M.B.A Foreign Trade Integrated. All these facilities are provided so that students can get a comfortable environment for studying and that will help them in the overall personality development. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore facilities include a library that contains various technical, professional, journals, periodicals etc, there are separate hostels for boys and girls, a cafeteria that serves delicious snacks and food items etc. The university has an IT Centre established to facilitate networking, internet services and solutions for filling teaching and research goals. The campus is very clean. It has proper sanitattion facilities. It has library in which books and magazines are available. There is separate sports ground and a sports department from which we can get equipment needed for sports. There is free wifi facility available in college.

Yes,our college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment.The college library is resourceful and lends books to student thoughout the semester for extended periods. College has auditorium.wifi is also available. Canteen is also available which provides cheap and tasty food. Facilities regarding sports and games are also available but to a very limited degrees. The living spaces are clean and food is also hygienic.
