Admission Process 2021
Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya offers admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in various domains. Admission to the courses is done on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by the university. For undergraduate courses, admission will be done through UGET while for postgraduate courses admission will be done through PGET and for doctoral courses PHDET. Further, the candidates have to appear for the counselling process. The detailed admission processes are given below:
For Undergraduate Courses (B.A./B.Com./B.B.A.(Hons.)/B.Sc./B.C.A./B.A.B.Ed. Integrated/B.Sc.B.Ed. Integrated/Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.)/B.Pharm/BA LLB/LLB/BJ/B.Lib.I.Sc.):
- For B.A., B.Com., B.B.A.(Hons.), B.Sc., B.C.A., B.A.B.Ed. Integrated, B.Sc.B.Ed. Integrated, Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), B.Pharm, BA LLB, candidates should qualify 10+2 examination in the relevant areas from a recognised board/institute.
- For LLB, B.Lib.I.Sc., BJ, candidates should qualify a bachelor's examination in any discipline from a recognised institute/university.
- Eligible candidates should apply online on the website of DHSGSU.
- Candidates should appear for Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) conducted by the University.
- Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks scored in UGET.
- Further, the shortlisted candidates have to appear for the counselling process for seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
For Postgraduate Courses (M.Sc./M.A./M.Com./M.B.A./M.J./M.S.W./M.P.A. (Theatre Arts)/M.Tech. (Applied Geology)/M.Pharm/MCA/LLM/M.Ed/M.Lib.I.Sc):
- For M.Sc., M.A., M.Com., M.B.A., M.J., M.S.W., M.P.A. (Theatre Arts), MCA, candidates should qualify a bachelor's examination in the relevant domain from a recognised institute/board.
- For M.Tech (Applied Geology), candidates should qualify a bachelor's examination with geology as one of the subjects from a recognised institute/university.
- For M.Pharm, Candidates should have done B.Pharm with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognised institute/university.
- Candidates should also qualify GPAT/GATE examination.
- For M.Com, candidates should qualify B.Com examination from a recognised institute/university.
- For LLM, candidates should qualify LL.B./B.A.LL.B/B.Com.LL.B/B.Sc. LLB./BBA. LL.B examinations from a recognised institute/university.
- For M.Lib.I.Sc., candidates should qualify B.Lib.I.Sc examination from a recognised institute/university.
- Eligible candidates should apply online on the website of DHSGSU.
- Candidates should appear for Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET) conducted by the University.

For Doctoral Courses (Ph.D):
- Candidates have to fill an online application form on the website of Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya.
- Eligible candidates have to appear for the Ph.D Entrance Test (PHDET) followed by an interview conducted by the university.
- Teacher Fellowship Holder/UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR NET/JRF qualified candidates will be exempted from an entrance test.
- Final admission will be offered on the basis of performance in an entrance test, interview, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
