    Not met with my expectations

    B.Sc Agricultural Hons - Batch of 2023-01-01
    2.8

    Academics

The syllabus is good, but the absence of practical exposure to training restricts the learning process. Semester exams are straightforward and can be easily cracked in one night's study, but genuine industry insight is limited unless you put in an extra effort independently.

    College Infra

The facilities are substandard in view of the course requirements. The number of lab facilities for practicals is small, and equipment is frequently old or not working. The library is small and does not have recent agricultural journals or reference books.

    Placements

Barely 5–10% of students get placed, and even they get arranged jobs through personal connections or off-campus efforts. For the 2025 pass-out batch, barely a few local agribusiness startups came for recruitment, and that too with extremely low packages, around 1.2–1.5 LPA.

BA Historical Studies - Batch of 2023-01-01
    2.8

    Academics

I pursued B.A. in History here out of genuine interest in the subject and with a thought of preparing for competitive exams. The faculty in the History department is quite knowledgeable and supportive. The curriculum is decent, but not always updated to include the latest research or job-relevant skills. It’s more exam-oriented than practical. If you’re looking to build a career directly after graduation, it may not make you “job-ready” unless you do extra certifications or prepare for exams on your own. But it definitely builds a strong theoretical foundation.

    College Infra

Yes, the college has impressive infrastructure — in fact, it’s one of the best parts of the university. The campus is spacious and modern. Classrooms are large, airy, and equipped with smart boards and projectors, although they’re not always used effectively in regular classes. The library is huge and well-stocked, especially for general reference and exam preparation. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, though sometimes the speed can be slow. Hostels are newly constructed, clean, and have decent facilities, including mess, laundry, and common rooms. Sports facilities are also there — there’s a proper playground, and the university is trying to promote more physical activities.

    Campus Life

The campus is beautiful and peaceful. Best feature? The newly developed infrastructure — it looks like a private university but at a government college budget. There’s also a nice open auditorium, canteen, and green spaces for students to relax. Worst feature? Lack of regular cultural or career-related events. Things feel inactive unless students take initiative. You won’t find the vibrant college life that private universities boast about.

    Placements

To be completely honest — placements are practically non-existent for general courses like B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. Not a single student from our batch was placed through campus drives. From what I’ve heard, some professional courses like BBA or MBA may have 10-15% placement rates, with the highest package around ₹6–10 LPA, but those are extremely rare cases, mostly for technical or management fields. Average salary? For most of us, there was none. There was no formal placement cell or support for us. We had to explore job opportunities on our own after graduation.

    Value For Money

The fee is quite affordable around ₹4000-₹5000 per year. So in that sense, yes, definitely, it was value for money in terms of degree and facilities. However, if you are expecting campus placements or hands on skill development, then it might not fully meet those expectations. It’s more suited for students, aiming for government exams, higher studies or teaching careers.
