The campus is beautiful, filled with heritage buildings and peaceful surroundings. Classrooms are spacious, some with smart boards and projectors, though not always used. The Central Library is a treasure for any History student — quiet, well-stocked, and with access to old journals and rare books. Hostels are average — some old, some newly built, with clean living spaces and decent, hygienic food in the mess. There’s Wi-Fi, but it’s not always reliable, especially in hostels.
The faculty is experienced and passionate about the subject. If you’re serious about UPSC, NET/JRF, or teaching, this place will provide a strong foundation in history and critical thinking. However, the curriculum is mostly theory-based, with little focus on practical or job-ready skills. There are no internships, workshops, or industry exposure unless you find them yourself.
To be honest, placements are almost non-existent for general courses like BA (Hons). No companies came for recruitment in our department. Some professional courses (like MBA) see a bit of activity, but not for Arts. If you want a job after graduation, you’ll have to look for it independently.
The course fee is very affordable — around ₹4,000 per year. So yes, it’s value for money in terms of education, infrastructure, and faculty. But if you’re looking for job opportunities, then you may not feel fully satisfied unless you take extra steps outside of college.
Campus life is a unique mix — calm yet full of student energy. You’ll find students deeply involved in student politics, cultural societies, debates, and UPSC prep. There are events, but not frequent. The environment is safe, and the support staff and administration are helpful, though things can move slowly (typical of government institutions). Teachers are friendly and supportive if you take initiative.
Allahabad University is great for students focused on academics, research, or government exams. If you’re self-driven and know your goals, it’s a strong foundation.

The college has a well placement committee which helps the students in getting campus placements. Though only some courses offer good placement as not all the course are meant to provide you the industry’s exposure.

The infrastructure at the University of Allahabad is impressive. Classrooms are well-equipped, and the library is resource-rich. The campus is spacious with decent Wi-Fi. Some areas need better maintenance, but overall, a great environment. Rating: 4/5.
The academic experience at the University of Alld has been satisfactory. Some courses are well-structured with knowledgeable faculty, but inconsistencies in teaching quality and limited practical exposure affect learning. Room for improvement exists.
The placement experience at the University of Alld was below expectations. Limited opportunities, lack of strong industry connections, and inadequate support from the placement cell contributed to a disappointing outcome. Needs significant improvement.
The University of Alld offers decent facilities and a good academic environment, but the tuition fees feel a bit high compared to the value provided. Some courses lack practical exposure. Overall, it’s average in terms of value for money. Rating: 3/5.
Campus life at the University of Alld was disappointing. Facilities were poorly maintained, and there was a lack of engaging activities. The environment felt dull, with minimal support for student events. Overall, it did not meet expectations.
The campus is relatively large, with huge academic blocks and open fields. The classrooms are simple but functional, with a combination of old blackboards and some smart classrooms introduced in recent years. One of the special features is the central library, which has an enormous collection of old and new books,The campus also has a reading room and group study rooms specific to commerce, which are helpful during exam season.
The lecturers of the B.Com department are skilled. All the professors have a conventional lecture approach except a few, who also add case studies and discussion on current affairs to retain the interest of the students. The curriculum is extensive and focuses on the mainstream topics needed to qualify for a commerce graduate. Continuous internal examinations and semester examinations keep the students on track.
The job postings are typically in areas such as accounting, finance, sales, and customer care. Recent companies that have visited the campus include ICICI Securities, Karvy Stock Broking, HDB Financial Services, and Shriram Life Insurance. The salary package is average, and most students opt for higher studies such as M.Com, CA, or government exams rather than depending on campus placements.
Oral college infrastructure is good but but also not updated as per current need for the students as it has old buildings but the education is more important than infrastructures so the education provided by University is good.
The professors provide good and better education quality with minimum cost and fees and provide different academics activity for students also the professors in the University of Allahabad is highly educated.
The post graduation placement in card in University of Allahabad in department of commerce is not well good as not very more companies come for the placement but few companies giving placement to their students.
