Quantum physics studies the behavior of matter and radiation at the atomic scale. It deals with the dual nature of matter and radiation (as particle and as wave) and their interactions and inter convertibility.
To become a Physicist in India you have to follow these steps:
Studying Physics, Chemistry and Maths at the 10+2 level and securing a minimum score in these subjects would be a prerequisite for admission into a bachelor degree in physics.
The common course offered at the UG level in this area is B.Sc. Physics. The duration of the course is usually three years.
Note :Integrated MScThere are 5 year Integrated M.Sc. programs in physics that are offered by many of the prominent universities in the country.
After completing the UG degree, you can either go for MSc. Physics or MS in Physics with a specialisations of choice. M.Sc. courses in India are of two years duration and MS degrees offered in various universities abroad are mostly of one year duration.
Note: Integrated PhDThere are Integrated PhD (Master’s + PhD) programs offered by various universities across the country.
After pursuing master’s, you can go for an M Phil/PhD in Physics if your profile (including projects, research papers, and internships) and research proposal is excellent.

Hi,
typical U.S. student would have a Bachelor degree from a respected university and some engineering experience as an intern. They usually were confident (sometimes overly so) and had good answers to open-ended engineering questions that required creative problem solving.
In contrast, the typical Indian student would have a Bachelor degree from a university in India that I had never heard of, and a Master degree from a respected U.S. university with little, if any, engineering intern experience. They often struggled to provide examples of real-world problem solving, and would stumble over even simple engineering problems.
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
