The library is good enough. Labs are good, and classrooms are also in a disciplined manner. The canteen still has to be improved. Sports activities are good, and cultural activities are also quite interesting. It was an opportunity to open up our skills. Wi-Fi connection needs to be improved. Sports are well encouraged.
Faculty are supportive and always very helpful. All the staff helps us whenever we need help. The teachers are very experienced and have a good amount of knowledge and have awesome skills to teach and make us understand concepts. Semester exams are conducted on time. Most of the students score good cgpa.
Placements are good and increasing every year. The placement head is very helpful. The placement is from good amount of companies, and you can get placed easily. You will be able to get package upto 5 LPA and more as well. This is a very good campus to get placed if you are in Computer Science branch especially.
The RIT college of banglore offers advanced labs, digital classrooms, and a well-maintained campus. During the lockdown, online facilities were helpful, and after reopening, everything ran smoothly with better resources for students.
Teachers are well skilled and supportive. The syllabus is well-structured and focuses on practical learning. Even during the lockdown, online lectures continued, and after that, research work and lab sessions improved further.
The placement record is very good, especially for MTech students. Many reputed companies visit the campus. Though opportunities slowed a bit during the lockdown, the situation quickly improved afterward, now the college is moving towards the best T&P faculty in Banglore...
The total fee for many M.Tech specialisations at RIT is around ₹2.86 lakh for the full 2-year program, (₹1.43 lakh per year) for General Merit seats. For some seats it’s listed as approx ₹2.17 lakh in earlier years.
Life here was dynamic hackathons, coding clubs, guest lectures regularly. During lockdown, campus events stopped but online webinars kept us engaged; once we returned, events resumed carefully. The environment encouraged technical growth as well as networking with peers.
My time at RIT for the M.Tech program was highly rewarding. Despite the disruptions of the pandemic, staff and the college managed well. If you are serious about deep technical learning, research or a strong career in CSE, this institute offers excellent value, provided you put in the effort.
College infrastructure is actually very good. There is Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus. There are basically 2 labs for my branch; apart from this, we also have a lab established by Intel, which is the Intel core Lab, and a lab established by Apple, Inc. We have a library completely dedicated to the circuital branches, which holds a good amount of books and fulfils our needs completely. The hostel is okayish but can be adjusted. Compared with other hostels or PGs, the college hostel is much better. The mess isn't that good, but that too is manageable.
The teachers are indeed helpful and highly knowledgeable, but their knowledge is going to waste as they aren't allowed to showcase their talent to the maximum due to the restrictions set up on them by the college curriculum. I don't think that the college curriculum is up to the mark for what the industry expects from an engineer. I feel the curriculum is a bit outdated. Of course, the curriculum has been revised and modern subjects such as artificial intelligence and machine learning have been introduced, but the teachers have little experience teaching those subjects.
In my branch, information science, almost all students have at least one offer from big multinational companies like Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Apple India, and many other companies that offer a wide range of job opportunities with very good annual packages. Top roles that can be expected are data analyst, software developer, etc.
The infrastructure is good. They provide Wi-Fi in the college, hostel, and library with good speed. Our college has all the facilities. Labs with advanced instruments are required for better understanding. In the hostel, the quality of food is very good. They serve food to around 400-500 students. There is a gym, and many sports facilities are provided with trainers.
Teachers in our branch are more helpful in terms of projects. They help and guide us with the project. They motivate and cooperate with more interest. Many of the teachers in our branch have pursued Ph.D.s. They have more knowledge of their particular subjects. The course curriculum is decent. All the topics are covered. More information and knowledge can be acquired. Semester exams are difficult and sometimes easy if we are lucky. The passing percentage was around 80-90% in the previous semester.
Around 80-90% of students got placed in core and IT companies. Many seniors got placed in top companies. The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered varies between 6 LPA - 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are JSW, TCS, Mercedes Benz, etc. Internships are not offered in this course. The top roles offered are design engineer, NDT engineer, data analytics, etc.
Facilities are not that good but you can get a level of satisfaction. Hostels are also okay, but don't expect too much. Sports and games are there like hostel league and you can enjoy with friends in the ground. Food, you all know how the hostel and mess food is and as I told earlier don't have any hope but its not that bad.
Faculty is okay, some are good and some are not good, after all its an engineering college. Faculty doesn't care much, you have to do it on your own. Level of exam is good but you have to study for every subject otherwise it will be difficult for you to pass because semester exams are not easy to clear.
90% students from our department are placed, some in core, some in IT sector and some are placed off campus. There are many core companies like Mercedes, Dover, Boeing and many more which comes for placements. You will be recruited as a core engineer and the roles are likewise only.
The infrastructure of our college is good. Laboratories are well-equipped. There are a total of 4-5 huge libraries in our college, which is a knowledge hub of our college. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The hostel has Wi-Fi. Classrooms have good facilities like smart boards and projectors. Our campus provides good facilities and infrastructure.
All teachers are helpful and qualified. Most of them are Ph.D. holders in various fields. The curriculum is very much outdated and is of no use in the real-time industry. It is mainly focused on finishing the syllabus rather than letting us gain some knowledge. Our batch is a covid one, and in the initial days, we used to rush our semesters, and we have not understood. Now everything is sorted, and we are also ahead of other colleges. Still, we are made to rush the semester, and we are finishing semesters in 3 months. Semester exams are easy in our college. A preparation of 15 days before the exam would be more than enough to score an average grade.
Around 80-85% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Bosch, Diamler, Boeing, and JSW. About 40% of students got internships. Top roles offered are QA engineer, production engineer, some design-related roles, etc.
Facilities of the college are nice, but don't expect it to be like other NITs or VIT. Labs are equipped with computers with i7 processors. Wi-Fi facilities are also available inside the campus. There are 4-5 libraries where you can study or borrow books of various domains.
Faculty members are nice; most of them have done Ph.D. and M.Sc. from renowned institutions like IISc, Bangalore, and many others. The course curriculum is updated every year, with new concepts being added. Regarding semester exams, 1 week is enough to score 8.5+ CGPA
An average of 90% of students are placed every year. The highest package offered is 62 LPA by Atlassian, and the average package is about 8 LPA. Top companies include Oracle, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, Amazon, and many more. Many internship opportunities are available.
The college facilities are fine and the infrastructure is also very good. Wi-fi is available everywhere in our college. Labs and classrooms are fine and the library has all the required books. The hostel is good, the mess and the canteen provide quality food. Many sports and games events happen every semester.
The teachers are fine, they are helpful towards the students. The students can ask doubts any time and they will clear it. They have good teaching skills and are, no doubt, qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and the activities make the students industry ready. Semester exams are very difficult to pass. 90% is the passing percent.
Approximately, 70% of the students got placed in company roles like UPL limited, TATA chemical energy engineer and Nuclear engineer. 80 LPA is the highest package offered, 12 LPA is the lowest with an average salary of 20 LPA offered. Almost all the students got internships from our course in UPL limited, TATA chemical, etc.
The institute offers excellent facilities for the civil engineering department including modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, library, and wi-fi. Hostel amenities are satisfactory with decent food options. Medical facilities and sports amenities are also available, promoting overall student well-being
Outstanding faculty at Ramaiah Institute of Technology: teachers are highly qualified and supportive, ensuring top-notch teaching quality. The curriculum is relevant, preparing students well for the industry. Semester exams are challenging yet fair, with a commendable pass percentage.
BE EC Engineering has high placements, close to 80%. The highest package is 12–15 LPA. The lowest is 4-5 LPA; the average is 6–8 LPA. Top recruiters are L&T, Tata Projects, and ACC. Most of the students get internships. The top roles are civil engineer and structural engineer.
Classrooms are good labs have a lot of facilities; the library is good and is open till 11 p.m. for exams; support facilities are average. They have a ground for football, cricket, and volleyball; badminton court; basketball court; and a tennis court. Basketball and tennis courts are synthetic .
Teachers are well qualified, and most of them have Ph.D. degrees from prestigious colleges. They are helpful with studies and help them know things better some of the professors are not that good in electives but mechanical teachers are good. Exams are easy and not that difficult to pass. Most of the students pass.
Students were offered more than 1600 offers; most of them were placed and some went for higher studies or exams like CAT, etc. The highest package was 24 LPA (international) and the average was 10 LPA in mechanical branch. The roles offered were almost on core
Hello Aspirant,
If you are opting for Biotechnology, each university has its own advantages:
With a COMEDK rank of 6949 , you are not likely to get ECE at top colleges like MSRIT, BMSCE, or RVCE , as their ECE cutoffs are usually below 4,000 .
Consider other branches like Mechanical, Civil, or other IT specializations where closing ranks range between 25,000 to 60,000
Explore less competitive engineering colleges in Karnataka that cut off around 50,000 to 100,000 .
hi,
With a rank of 23,000 in COMEDK, getting admission in the Mechanical branch at MSRIT might be difficult because usually the closing rank for Mechanical in this college tends to be much lower. MSRIT is one of the top colleges and seats in popular branches like Mechanical usually fill up quickly. But still, you can try in the later rounds of counselling because sometimes the cutoffs go a bit higher if some students leave or change their options
