Admission Process 2021
SSN, Kalavakkam provides admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes based on the qualifying marks of different exams. Detailed description on all programmes, counselling procedure, document verification and all other details are mentioned below.
BE/B.Tech
Government Quota
- Admissions to UG engineering programmes will be offered on the basis of the merit list prepared based on the marks in the qualifying examination.
- Candidate has to apply and participate in the single window counselling TNEA.
- Based on participation in TNEA counselling, document verification and fee payment, candidates will be offered admission.
Management Quota
- Candidates have to apply online on the website of the college along with required documents and paying the amount of fees.
- Based on the merit of the qualifying exam, the candidate will be shortlisted.
- Shortlisted candidates will be offered admission on merit basis.
- Final admissions will be offered after document verification and fees payment at SSN, Kalavakkam.
ME/M.Tech
- Candidates have to apply online on the website of the college by submitting all requisite documents and paying the amount of fees.
- Based on the merit of the qualifying exam, the candidate will be shortlisted.
- Shortlisted candidates will be offered admission on merit basis.
- GATE qualified candidates are also eligible for admission and they will be given scholarships.
- Final admissions will be offered after document verification and fees payment at SSNCE, Kalavakkam.

Out of the total seats, 65% (590) are filled up through single window counseling. The seats offered by SSN are filled up within the first few days of counseling with significant high cut-off marks. The remaining 310 seats of the management quota are also offered through merit. 25 seats are earmarked for students who excel in both their academics and sports and 25 for toppers of government rural schools of Tamil Nadu. Apart from this as part of the walk-in-walk-out scheme, 25 seats are offered to toppers of various state boards with a full scholarship.
