Course Overview

IMT-Nagpur offers a Two Year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), a fully residential programme to equip the students with comprehensive management education. It aims to provide young graduates with an opportunity to develop management skills and to compete successfully in the global business environment. The curriculum has been designed to lay a strong foundation for logical and analytical skills of the students.

The program provides an intensive, stimulating and challenging learning experience in the management discipline. The curriculum covers all the important areas of management which may be expected from a manager.

To develop and demonstrate key personal and inter-personal skills required for effective management and implementation of solutions to business problems at all levels within and outside the organization.
To update the knowledge base related to various business domains and appreciate their significance. To critically appreciate the significance of recent theoretical developments in business and their strategic implications.

Programme Structure

The Two Year PGDM is covered in six trimesters.
There are 24 Core Subjects, 15 electives and 1 summer internship project.
In the first year (during three trimesters), the student will learn concepts in all the key areas of management. The last semester will focus on the area of chosen specialization.
In the second year, the student will go through 8 electives in the area of his specialization and other sets of electives for one more area of specialization.

The two year PGDM offers Specializations in seven areas - Finance, Marketing, Information Technology Management, Operations Management, OB and Human Resource, Economics and Business Analytics.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum three years Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate*

Applicants who are appearing for the final-year degree examination can also apply, subject to submission of all mark sheets and pass certificate to IMT’s Academic Program office at a later date. Failing to do so will result in admission being canceled.

** In the case of the candidates applying on the basis of GMAT and score is not provided, processing of application will be provisional, subject to IMT receiving the official GMAT score on or before February 28, 2022

Admission Details

IMT will short-list the candidates for the Critical Thinking-Group Exercise-Personal Interview(CT-GE-PI) process based on their best available test scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score for Nagpur campus. Post-short-listing on the basis of available scores, applicants will be called for CT-GE-PI process and the final offering will be based on scores, performance in CT-GE-PI process and the overall profile of the candidate.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is well-constructed and maintained. The institute has all the facilities inside the campus for a student manager. It has fully-equipped classrooms, LRC, a mess hall with a dining capacity of 1000 people at once, 4 hostels, faculty quarters, faculty mess, canteen, grounds and courts for almost all the sports, co-op store, eatery store, laundry service, hostels are clean, hygienic with all the facilities in the room, the rooms are Non-Ac. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

College Infrastructure

The college has all the necessary infrastructure required by the students, we have well equipped classrooms, library, sports grounds and equipments. Also, the hostels are well maintained and equipped with wifi connections. They are clean and the hygeine factor is well maintained.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is okay, projector is there. Not so sure about smartboard. Food is hygienic and the campus is cleaned on regular basis. A/C isn't der in the hostel and mess. Clean/decent hostel rooms.
