Shyam Lal College, which is part of Delhi University, has been a good learning experience for me so far. Being a DU college, the academic structure is already well-defined, but the overall journey depends a lot on how actively you participate in classes, societies, and events. Here is my detailed review of different aspects of the college.

The B.Com program at Shyam Lal College follows Delhi University's well-structured curriculum. Core subjects like Financial Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, and Corporate Laws are taught in detail. The faculty ensures that the fundamentals are clear, which helps not only for semester exams but also for competitive exams like CA, CS, and MBA entrances. Regular internal assessments, projects, and presentations keep the academic environment active. However, the syllabus is mostly theory-based, so students who want more practical exposure might feel the need to join external workshops or internships.

Placements are moderate. The placement cell tries to bring companies on campus, but opportunities are more in sales, marketing, BPOs, and entry-level roles. Average packages are around modest levels, and very few top corporates visit compared to DU's premium colleges. For students aiming for high-paying jobs, pursuing higher studies like MBA, M.Com, or professional courses (CA, CFA, CS) is advisable. On the positive side, the placement cell also connects students with internships, which helps in building practical experience.

Being a Delhi University college, the fee is very affordable compared to private universities. For the quality of education, exposure, and DU brand name, it is definitely value-for-money. Even though infrastructure and placements are average, the low fees make the overall return on investment good. Students who are self-driven and explore opportunities outside the campus will find it especially worth it.

Campus life at Shyam Lal is as vibrant as you make it. The annual fest is the highlight, with good participation. If you join societies, you'll enjoy an engaging and fun-filled college life. Otherwise, campus can feel a little monotonous. One of the beautiful campus of Delhi University , advace library, big rooms with good ventilation and greenery . Rooms are large and lab are well functioned . Proper cleaning and hygienic environment

All staff and exams syllabus and working is from north campus of Delhi University . With proper checking and doubt classes proper time table. And classes for tutorial classes . Transperancy in class internal examination

Active placement cell and good placement rate . Placement cell organised placement fair every year and good rate of internship and placements also . There are also many alumni from this college in big 5

Cost per year is very good as it's government organisations only 25000 per year for commerce courses

Campus: SLC has a sprawling campus of approximately 7 acres with a good amount of greenery. * Modern Amenities: The college has upgraded its infrastructure and facilities, including Wi-Fi zones, LCD projectors .

College is very good but campus is quite small.

The shyam lal college infrastructure are designed to gain the better knowledge and persuits the extracurricular sciences their academic infrastructure is good there classrooms are very hygienic and there has the seminar and board rooms also

The shyam lal college has attracted a diverse range of recruiters across the various sectors there are the placement drives icici prudential life insurance wipro bajaj company infosys and like the other companies

This college has the affordable fee structure the quality of the education is good and commendable placement opportunities the shyam lal college tuition fees are affordable compared to the many institutions like bcom hons bsc ma

The slc are organising the cultural and extracurricular activities there has the annual cultural festival named the anugoonj they are performing the arts societies also this campus has the sports and physical activities also

This campus is good as the campus has do lots of activities

The college infrastructure is good but the quality of water is very bad and the water cooler condition is really bad and the taste of water is not good but the buildings were really good and the college environment is really eco friendly.

The faculty of college were supporting and encouraging there behaviour towards students is very helpful and they treat the students like they are their own plus the teacher and management staff is always available for any queries and doubts.

The training and placement cell is full of hard-working and dedicated students who oraganises a great and aspiring job fare every year so that every student can get the corporate experience Through various jobs and internships provided by reputed companies and organisations.

Very good college..Good infrastructure and other facilities…Libraries are good…they provide all readings…classrooms are also good and hygiene…overall the infrastructure is good and clean….college provide all equipment also

Faculty is good.very helpful teachers…Teachers are so friendly…They mentor us and gave skill enchantment course also…So the quality of teaching is good …Im studying bcom(hons) and commerce department is one of the best department

The placements of the college is not much us you expected…The average salary offered here is less than 3LPA….The highest salary Package is 8LPA…college also provide placement cell so yeah not that much good but still okay

One of the best infrastructure among the other du colleges A/C centralized library with amazing computer labs . Also having a very peaceful environment in the study and common room but the condition of the water coolers is not good not working properly and the water is also not drinkable

The faculties of the college are really helpful with so much experience. Always create a curiosity among the students so that they can learn more eagerly about the subjects. The optional subjects are also very interesting from which a student can develop his overall personality like Public speaking, leadership skills which really helps the students to build the confidence within themselves

Placement is a debatable topic because as we have seen in early years everything about the college is good but not the placements . Students were not getting their desire package which they actually deserve. Not so many renowned and big companies come for placement which lead for Students to search for job outside the college or further continuing their studies.

My college infrastructure is good but there is some places in college that are very bad and not well constructed or not clean like our washroom are rarely clean and water for drinking is not good the quality and taste of water is very bad but our building and the plants in our is college is very good.

The academics in our college is really good and the professor nature and there style of teaching us is really good and how they teach us is really good we understand them properly and they understand us that students want to study or not.

The placement in our college is good but not the best. The companies that came to our college is not giving the package that students deserve and the companies that come to our not the big companies they are mainly startups.

Campus Life or my college is very good like the students were really good and we made some of the best memories in our college and I have many friends in my college and they are very helpful. The best campus Life i can say.

college has a well-kept campus with sufficient classrooms, library, and laboratory facilities. sports area is good, while the computer laboratory facilities are appropriate for the technical students. Canteen provides good food with affordable rates

teachers are well qualified, and generally kind. as in every college, the quality of education would depend on the individual teachers. If the students are focused towards their studies so they are able to acquire good knowledge and skills here

placement here is mediocre. Companies do hire from the campus, but in the majority of students need to find for themselves. The placement cell does provide training and workshops to students so that they are ready to face interviews, but such high-paying jobs are not in plenty.

college is highly active in student life with many drama, music, and debate societies and clubs. The campus is good with events and fests, and students are provided with a chance to showcase their talent. environment is friendly, and students can opt for extracurricular activities along with studies
