St Stephens Reservation Criteria 2026

Being a Christian minority college, 50% of the total number of seats will be set aside exclusively for the Christian candidates, who are listed below:

  1. Christian Minority - 17% (out of 50%)
  2. 25% of the total seats will be reserved for the North India Church. 50% out of it (12.5% of the total) shall be earmarked for applicants who belong to the Diocese of Delhi, CNI who manages the entire college.
  3. The remaining 33% of seats shall be occupied by candidates belonging to all the other Christian denominations, who will be referred to as ‘Christian others’.

While the rest of the 50% seats of St. Stephens College that are left for the candidates in the general/ SC/ OBC/ ST category will be divided as mentioned below:

  • 17% for SC/ ST candidates
  • The remaining 83% are reserved for the General Merit category

Candidates who are applying for St. Stephens College admission under the sports category quota shall be granted admission based on the merit distribution, which is as follows:

The placement record is good with highest CTC as INR 26 LPA and average CTC as INR 10.25 LPA in 2019 to 2020. Once you have selected colleges as per your preferences from the online DU portal for MA Admissions, please go ahead and fill form separately from St. Stephen's Portal.
Although St. Stephens is affiliated with University of Delhi, however it follows a completely different procedure of admissions, which is why a candidate is required to fill the form separately.
