8. What are the laws regulating a Portfolio Manager's services?

Portfolio Management services are regulated by an arrangement between the manager of the portfolio and the investor. The minimum specifics as stated in the SEBI Portfolio Manager Regulations should be protected in the agreement. Additional specifications may, however, be defined in the agreement with the client by the Portfolio Manager.

9. Are there risks connected with investments in PMS?

Yes. A certain level of risk is involved in all investments, including the potential erosion of the principal amount invested, which varies depending on the protection chosen.

10. Will the Investment Manager be eligible for imposing a lock-in on the investor?

Portfolio Managers do not place a lock-in on the portfolios of their customers. However, the Portfolio Manager may charge the client's applicable cancellation fees for an early exit, as mentioned in the agreement.
