This course will take you through the ancient buildings which decorate the cities in China, it will throw light upon the construction and design of these buildings, tombs, pagodas, religious structures, gardens and palaces.

Participants will study the ancient cities of dadu of yuan, chang'an, and Luoyang of sui and tang, chang'an of han, Kaifeng of song, chang'an of han. The basis of Chinese architecture and construction through brick and stones and wood will be taught. Books on song and qing dynasties are also included in this course in the online form. 

This course also contains the study of summer palaces in Beijing, private gardens of Ming and Qing dynasties, and the ancient royal garden at the Chengde mountain resort.
