With a mere score of 34 Tancet score you may not be able to get a seat especially if you belong from other state. The cut off for TANCET expected this year for 2019 counselling is 35 for General, 30 for BC, 27.5 for SC and 25.5 for ST.

See you have a decent rank in TANCET 2019. You might find it difficult to get into CEG with Mechanical Engineering there as the seats are filled first there. You have a chance in the other two but the trends change every year so be hopeful.

According to the eligibility criteria this year, you are required to qualify either of the two exams- TANCET 2019 or GATE 2019 to be eligible for TANCET counselling. So, you cannot use GATE 2018 score card to apply for TANCET counselling.
