Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is conducted by Anna University for the admissions to M.Tech and M.E programmes in the various colleges in Tamil Nadu.
GATE qualified candidates are exempt from appearing for the TANCET.

TNEA and TANCET are conducted for admission to different degree programmes. For example, TNEA is conducted for admission to B.Tech programmes, wheras TANCET is conducted for M.Tech admission.
