Hi Aspirant,
You should check the official website for any updates regarding date extensions and contact the admissions office. This is the best way to ensure you complete your registration.
Additionally, there are alternative channels for admission into IISER through JEE Advanced and the KVPY fellowship. If you need any assistance with that, feel free to ask.
No, as a 2022 passout, you are not eligible to apply for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025. The IAT is only for students who passed Class XII or equivalent in 2023, 2024, or 2025.
If you're interested in studying at an IISER, you can consider pursuing a bachelor's degree and then applying for IISER's Masters or integrated PhD programs through exams like IIT-JAM, JEST, or UGC-NET/GATE.

Hi arupnanda
It seems your IISER rank was rejected due to a mismatch between the category selected (OBC-NCL) and the uploaded photograph (OBC central). IISERs require specific documents, including the correct caste certificate and corresponding photograph, to be uploaded. Since you indicated you selected OBC-NCL but uploaded an OBC central photo, it's likely this discrepancy caused the rejection.
Thanks
When considering the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) and admissions to IISc Bangalore, it's important to understand the program structure. Here's a clarification:
Therefore, you will be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Research) degree. To further your studies to a masters degree, you would need to apply to a masters program after the completion of your bachelors degree.
I hope this clarifies the program structure.
Hello there,
If you're unable to select the
IISER IAT 2025 syllabus
option and the app is acting on its own, here’s what you can do:
Try a different browser or device
(use Chrome or Firefox on desktop for best results).
Clear the cache
and refresh the app or website.

Hello there,
If you selected OBC-NCL in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) registration and uploaded a Central OBC certificate , there should be no issue , provided that :
The certificate is issued by a
competent authority
(Tehsildar, SDM, DM, etc.).
It clearly states
“Non-Creamy Layer”
and follows the
central government format
.
It is valid as per the guidelines (usually issued after April 1, 2024 for the 2025 session).
If your certificate only says OBC and not OBC-NCL , or if it's a state OBC certificate and not for central list, your application may face rejection under OBC-NCL category.
Solution :
If you're unsure or have uploaded the wrong format, check if there's an
edit/correction window
for IISER IAT.
If not, prepare the correct central OBC-NCL certificate and carry it at the time of counselling/admission for verification.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
