Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali offers the academic programmes which are based on basic sciences that emphasis on inter-disciplinary nature of science. IISER Mohali admission for BS-MS Dual Degree Programme:
The aspirants of BS-MS Dual Degree programme can apply for admission through four channels.
They have to appear for the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) entrance exam through KVPY application and counselling followed by it.
The second option is the JEE Advanced. Candidates have to appear for JEE Advanced and counselling followed by it.
The third option is the IISER Aptitude Test, which is conducted for the State and Central Board Channel and candidates have to appear through SCB application.
The fourth option is INSPIRE Fellowship. It stands for Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research. The fellowship is offered by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), which provides financial assistance for further studies. To get this fellowship, candidates have to apply for it, through the official website of INSPIRE.
The separate merit lists are prepared for KVPY, JEE, SCB and INSPIRE channels.
As per the merit list candidates have to visit the campus and complete the admission process, which includes documents verification and fee payment.
IISER Mohali admission for Integrated Ph.D Courses:
Prospective candidates should apply online by visiting the website of IISER Mohali.
Short-listed candidates will be invited for a screening-test/interview at IISER Mohali.
Candidates with NBHM Masters or PhD scholarship for Mathematics, Rank in JEST examination for Physics, DST INSPIRE fellowship or KVPY scholarship, Rank in IIT JAM for the chosen specialisation, will be given priority in the selection process.
Candidates will be shortlisted after the interview and final merit list will be prepared.

IISER Mohali admission for PhD Courses:
- Candidates have to apply for admission online on IISER Mohali website.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done by the institute based on their academic records.
- Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Written Test and/or Personal Interview.
- Final selection will be done based on performance in past academics, Written Test and/or Personal Interview.
IISER Mohali View Course Specific Admission Process 2021
- Appear in JEE Advanced or KVPY or SCB.
- Fill the application form for admission based on any one of the three admission channels (JEE Advanced or KVPY or SCB) and submit it to IISER Mohali.
- Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for counselling. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their scores acquired in the qualifying marks and the merit list prepared thereafter.
