Hello,

Yes, after doing BS-MS from IISER, you can go abroad for a PhD. You need to apply yourself to foreign universities. Many universities require exams like GRE and TOEFL/IELTS.

Some IISERs offer support through recommendation letters, research experience, and guidance. There are also scholarships like Fulbright, DAAD, and university-specific funding.

IISER itself may not provide a direct scholarship for a PhD abroad, but research internships and fellowships during BS-MS can help strengthen your application.

Hope it helps !

Hello there,

If the IISER admission portal is not allowing you to proceed without submitting the 12th marksheet, you can try the following:

  1. Check for a Provisional Option: See if there's an option to upload a provisional result or a self-declaration stating that the result is awaited.

  2. Contact IISER Helpdesk: Reach out to the IISER admission support team through the contact details provided on the official website for guidance.

  3. Try Uploading a Blank Document: Some portals allow submission by uploading a placeholder document (like a blank PDF) until the result is declared.

  4. Wait for Result: If none of the above works, you may need to wait until the 12th result is declared before proceeding with the application.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Hi,

For IISER Kolkata, the maximum rank required to secure admission can vary each year based on the number of applicants and the difficulty of the exam. However, based on previous year a rank around 883 in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2024. might be a good benchmark for general category candidates

Admission to IISER (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) is highly competitive and is aimed at students interested in science and research careers. IISER offers a 5-year dual degree program called BS-MS (Bachelor of Science and Master of Science).

There are three main channels for admission to IISER:

1. **KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana)**: Students who qualify in the KVPY exam are eligible to apply directly for IISER admission.

2. **JEE Advanced**: Students who secure a rank within the top 15,000 in JEE Advanced are eligible to apply. Selection is based on their rank and availability of seats.

3. **IISER Aptitude Test (IAT)**: Students who have passed their 10+2 exams with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology) and meet the eligibility criteria can apply through this route. The IAT is a separate entrance exam conducted by IISER, and selection is based on performance in this test.

Candidates can apply through more than one channel, but they need to register separately. The admission process usually begins in May-June, and selected candidates are offered seats based on their rank, scores, and the available seats in different IISERs across India.

hope this helps you!!

Georgia government college accepts SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE score and academic performance they don't accept iiser score.

Whereas Iiser exam is similar to jee exam conducted for admission in 5-year BS-MS dual degree and 4-year BS degree programmes offered at IISER participating institutes, but it includes biology too if you are from bio background too paper is easier for you.Candidates should aim to achieve under 2500 rank in IISER Aptitude Approx 60k candidates appeared for the exam every year

Hello,

No, you cannot apply for the 7th round of BS-MS counseling at IISER without prior registration. Registration is a mandatory step in the IISER admission process. The 7th round of counseling is typically meant for candidates who have already registered and participated in the earlier rounds but have not yet secured a seat.

If you did not register during the initial registration period, you would not be eligible to participate in the counseling rounds, including the 7th round. If you missed the registration deadline, you would have to wait for the next admission cycle to apply.

Hope it helps !

Hello,

No, you cannot directly apply for the 3rd year at the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) as a lateral entry from a B.Sc. program. IISERs primarily admit students at the first-year level for their integrated BS-MS dual degree programs. They do not typically have a process for admitting students directly into the 3rd year of their programs.

If you are interested in joining IISER, you would typically need to start from the first year through their admission channels, such as:

1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel.

2. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced channel.

3. State and Central Boards Channel (SCB), which involves an aptitude test.

If you want to continue with a similar academic path at IISER, you would generally have to restart from the beginning of their integrated program. However, you could consider applying for postgraduate programs (like MS or PhD) at IISER after completing your B.Sc.

It's a good idea to check directly with the specific IISER you are interested in for any updates or exceptions to their policies.

Hope it helps !

- IISER Aptitude Test: Used for admission to Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs).

- Admission Basis: Admission will be based on your IISER Aptitude Test score.

- No Impact of JEE: Not participating in JEE does not affect your IISER application.

- Alternative Options: For other engineering or science colleges, explore different entrance exams or options.
