I’ve had a mixed experience with the campus infrastructure. The campus is huge and historic, with some beautiful old buildings that give a classic academic vibe. The lecture halls and classrooms are decent but vary a lot—some are spacious and well-ventilated, while others feel a bit outdated and cramped. The library is impressive—lots of books, study spaces, and a quiet environment for serious reading. Labs for science and computer courses are fairly equipped, though some equipment could use modernization. Sports facilities are good; there are fields for cricket, football, and indoor games, but maintaining them could
The faculty is a mixed bag — some professors are highly knowledgeable and approachable, really encouraging critical thinking and research. Others, however, tend to stick to traditional lecture methods, which can sometimes feel monotonous. The curriculum is fairly comprehensive, covering both theoretical and practical aspects, but it could use more updates in certain courses to match industry trends, especially in technology and commerce streams. The library and resources are decent; there’s a lot of material available, though accessing some older journals can be a hassle. One of the highlights is the research and seminar opportunities.
Placements at this college are average. While a few small and mid-level companies visit regularly, opportunities with top-tier firms are limited. The placement cell provides workshops, resume guidance, and mock interviews, but follow-up and support can be inconsistent. Salaries are moderate, enough for an entry-level start, and the outcome largely depends on how much effort a student puts in. Overall, it can help you kickstart your career, but it’s not the best choice if you are targeting high-profile companies.
As a student paying my own way, I’d say this college hits the middle ground. It’s not the fanciest place—you won’t find cutting-edge labs or Instagram-worthy lounges—but it does get the basics right. The fees are reasonable for what you get: functional classrooms, decent faculty who try to engage, and a campus that’s manageable without wasting too much time in transit. Where it loses points is in extra perks: events feel rushed, facilities are average, and sometimes resources run short. But if your goal is to get a solid degree without burning a hole in your wallet, this place does deliver. Think of it as a no-frills, practical investmentyou pay less, learn enough, and leave equipped to move forward
Campus life here is like a lukewarm cup of chai—comforting at times, but sometimes it just doesn’t hit the mark. The infrastructure is decent; classrooms and labs get the job done, though nothing that makes you go ‘wow.’ The library is okay, but quiet spots are limited, so be ready to compete for them. Social life is the real mixed bag clubs and events exist, but participation depends more on luck than planning. Cafeteria food is edible, sometimes surprisingly good, sometimes meh. People are friendly enough; you make your own vibe here.
The Cu of Punjab has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment, the hostels have 24 hours MHRD wifi, the drinking water is clean. the classrooms are well-equipped with white boards, wifi, laboratories, and many more. The hostel food is average not that good.
I have graduated from MA in English from here. the quality of teaching almost good. The teachers are phd degree bearing, The curriculum is updated and also there are many coaching programmes for government exams. The course helped me in many things, like UGC-net, and all.
The campus is located quite outside, the quality of placements is not good for english. Most placements come for the technical and pharma degrees. We did not get much exposure. the placements cell needs more development for overall student's welfare.
The infrastructures are good according to a central university. In the labs there are all facilities according to your course. Hostels are new and good one with wifi. There are stuffs for maintaining the hygiene.
You can do higher studies and get jobs after passing out from this university. As a central university teachers are also skilled in there respective field. This university is among the top 100 in india.
Placement cell is not active. Only some courses provide Placement. Maximum students focus on their higher studies and govt. Jobs . One can do his/her phd after passing out from this university. Teachers help students in their Placement.
A good central university for study.
Not too good but it's Okey
Classroom are well maintained and the facilities are good, well managed, newly created and the this things are good , talking about the students is discipline and management of that is really great , mess food is good , the area of this university is 500 acres the building are great and the interior is nice , so much greenery, fresh air , have some good facilities like gym for those who are full in intrested in their physic , so called the environment and the aurora is great , like this university
Academy is great and library is nice ,have books for all kind of genre like theatre books and space is clean and well managed, so much things to learn, talking about the teachers is great too and learning so many things
The placement here for other departments is ok , talking about mine is no , cause i am in the theatre field and our performing department is focused on play and make ready for films so we are auditioning to that , so don't know kuch about the placement
I don't know , for me its not like that , but ya experience is great and nicely manage , fee's are high and not that much facilities they provide, dont know why, so I dont like the vibe here, they have to work so that they can improve
Life is great as per talking about hostel is damn crazy but campus life is hectic and tired and so much empty space and while walking on the road there are snakes so we all are scared to that , and also the pressure of the academic is there too
Nothings much overall great thankyou, University have to work on their infrastructure and the overall lacking the work load issue , they are making not that much facilities available, work on that, students are mostly from kerala
The campus is still under construction. University itself is expanded in more than 500 acres of area , hostels are good enough to stay, there are other facilities like liberary , gym , health center and wwtp
Since the university is new and in a developing stage, the teachers are not that much experianced and there are lack of senior professors and teaching staff. But the college provides a huge variety of courses.
Placements are only there for pharmacy and MBA students. As students of other courses are focused on preparation for UGC net and Other government exams. The placement cell of the college is new and not that much active.
The fee structure of the college is not that like other central universities but since living in the campus with a range of facilities seems to be value for money , also hostel and mess charges are significantly low
Campus and hostel life is good, there are separate hostels for pg, phd and international students , also the campus offers a variety of courses at different levels ug ,pg ,phd and other diploma courses
You can rest assured about facilities and infrastructure. The university has all kinds of necessary facilities like labs, big library, classrooms have smart boards, wifi and projector. Everything is available inside the campus. Hostels food are good and hygienic
I completed MA education which teachers are very educated and experienced. The quality of teaching is outstanding. Speaking of curriculum is updated and includes all the necessary developments in the field. The teachers guided us to find a better career opportunity.
It has a placements cell which is working properly. Almost 80 to 90 percent students get placed every year. However, I did not appear for placement as I have other career plans. Both private and governmental organisations visit campus for recruitment every year.
Infrastructure is spread across 20 acres. All facilities like lab for computer practical, library, modern classroom is available and well functional with regular maintenance. Computers in labs are having very high specifications which is outstanding.
Curriculum includes very practicals aspects like real time attack and real time defense team as an activity. Many other topics are covered as practical understandings arranged by expert faculties and guest lecturers.
Placements is done by many MNCs in campus placements as well as government organizations. I was also placed in government organization. 100% placement is there. Salary offered is 12 to 15 LPA average with highest package of 58 LPA.
The college good for all the things it have canteen for lunch, library consist of hundreds of books, smart boards in required classrooms and wifi connection. It's also create proper maintenance of hostel and laboratories.
Teachers are very much helpful and provide as much as knowledge to you they creates friendly in which the student feel comfortable and you can even text them if you have any doubt regarding subject. So they provide course for skill development.
Placement is very much low mostly students find job by themselves. There is not having placement department for students. Not provide any training and internship to students. Students not satisfied with the placement.
Yes
Life is campus was normal.
Nothing
Infrastructure is expensive , so the price students pay and the infrastructure they provide are not good . Hostels are also not maintained , are also not maintained , the mess food is totally hygienic and canteen food is overpriced .
Academics at the university is really outstanding. It provides an all round development of the students and focuses on the well-being of the one. Great faculty and great students teacher ratio providing more focused environment.
Almost 90-99% students are placed over here . The highest package offered to a average student is 4-12 L . Mostly students get placed in marketing sector and IT sector because these field require more employees.
The infrastructure is really great, provides a lot of facilities and the maintenance is done regularly. The campus has a full fledged hospital inside with all the specialised departments and amenities.
The faculty is helpful at times you need and provide the support you need for a great academic approach by their industry experience. Studying material is provided in a such away learning becomes easy.
primarily focuses on academic excellence and skill development rather than traditional placement activities. However, the university provides ample opportunities for students to enhance their employability through various training programs, workshops, and career guidance sessions.
