About Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, Baddi

The CIPET, Baddi was set up in 2015 for petrochemicals engineering and technology with the main aim to educate students in this particular field. Nestled in Solan, Himachal Pradesh this affiliated college is statutorily recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) thus guaranteeing standard technical education. CIPET Baddi is situated in a comparatively small plot area of 7 acres, which provides students of the institute a dedicated environment for learning. Including, out of the total 65 students, the institute has strength of 15 faculties and thus there is very low ratio of student and faculty/student and faculty ratio that gives way for copying individual attention. CIPET Baddi has only three full- time courses at present, out of which one is Post Diploma in Plastics Processing Technology and two Diplomas both in plastics technology.

CIPET Baddi is also focused on the mission that learning should go hand in hand with the basic infrastructural facilities. It carries well equipped laboratories that meet departmental requirements to ensure students practice on equipment of their areas of specialty. A good IT investment helps students to be acquainted with the new technologies that are being adopted in the petrochemical industries. The campus library encompasses a collection of books, journals, and other learning materials to help meet the learning needs of students and academic community. The course takes 60 students every year, and it gives a complete overview of plastic materials and processing methods.

Diploma in Plastic Mould Technology: Another three-year diploma course, the focus of this course is plastic mould design and manufacture. It is suited for students who have an interest in the technical side of mould making for the plastics industry. It too has an approved annual intake of 60 students.
