    College Infrastructure

The college has a decent infrastructure with various facilities for students like - 1) Medical room for health concerns 2) Girl's common room ( only for girls , it is like a restroom ) 3) Sports room with gym equipment and some indoor sports like carrom , chess 4) For outdoor sports basket ball court is there and a table tennis room 5) Accessible washroom facilities for people with disabilities 6) Classrooms are Non - Ac but they are cleaned and well maintained 7) There is also a canteen and stationary available in the college itself 8) There is no hostel facility available ( neither for boy or girl)

    Academics

The academic part is absolutely amazing , the teachers are highly qualified, they will help you like a friend and you can ask your doubt anytime . The curriculum is updated and the college offers wide variety of under graduation programme in arts , commerce and even in science . It has also add on certificates which are paid ( digital marketing , etc ) you can check on the college website, apart from this it has library which is fully AC and has all type of books , newspaper and magazines which are easily accessible .

    Placements

The placements were average in 2024 . The highest package was around 4 to 5 lpa . The job profiles were mostly in finance , audit , sales role , etc .. and the major recruiters were EY , KPMG ( BIG4) , and some start up companies and many more . There is a active placement cell ( Broadway) which helps in the entire process. If you want to sit for the placement then you will have to pay a small amount like at my time it was 300 rs , you will get a refund if you get placed . There are ample of internships opportunity available , the college is very supportive , i am not sure about the highest package offered .

    Value for Money

DCAC is quite good value for money , as the fees is very low as compare to the other colleges , mine was 8720 rs per semester . If you are okay with the average infrastructure then this college is for you , as the placements are quite decent and the things that you will learn from this college is for sure very amazing .

    Campus Life

There are so many college societies in which you can take part to groom yourself , to make new connections and you can also gain a certificate which help you in building your resume . The college also organise guest lectures , fests , diwali mela and many more extra curricular activities . College Campus is not that huge as compare to other private or du colleges ,but its fun,

    It was average

    College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is just average. There are classrooms and a library, but no Wi-Fi, labs, sports center, or hostel. Classrooms don’t have AC, only fans. Cleanliness is not great either ,the buildings were only painted recently, which makes them look okay from outside, but overall upkeep is poor.

    Academics

I am studying Economics (Hons.) here. The course builds a good foundation for master’s programs and future studies, but it doesn’t really make you job-ready. Some teachers are great, but others aren’t that effective. A major issue is that students usually get lower internal marks compared to other colleges. Overall, it clears your basics in economics, but don’t expect strong career support from the college itself.

    Placements

The placement quality of the college is pretty average. Most placements happen for B.Com and B.Com (Hons.) students, while Economics (Hons.) gets very limited opportunities — last year there were only 1–2 placements for Eco Hons, with an average package of around 3.25 LPA. For B.Com, the highest was about 5 LPA. Many companies that come are for roles in communication, call centers, or video editing. Every year one company with a 24 LPA package visits, but in reality, it opens a single post across the whole DU, usually filled by top IIT/IIM students as leftovers. Since the college is known for Journalism, that department gets better offers, including a 12 LPA company. Most other offers (like call center roles) are around 6 LPA. On the positive side, the placement process is smooth, the placement cell is supportive, and teachers also help with mock GDs and interviews.

    Value for Money

In terms of fees, you could call it value for money — paying around 10k and getting a 3 LPA package looks like a good ROI. But in reality, it’s too low for a well-regarded course like Economics (Hons.) and not enough to survive in the current job market.

    Campus Life

It totally depends on person to person. For me, the experience has been good and I really enjoyed it. Most of the teachers in our department are good, though a few are not. The location is also convenient — close to the metro and generally safe.

My college is quite good, life here is happening.

    College Infrastructure

Campus is very small, it doesn't meet your expectations. Although, it has various seminar halls, ground, canteen, parking and 2 buildings. Classes of dcac are average, air conditioners aren't available in classes.

    Academics

Academics of college are outstanding, faculties are knowledgeable person and they take classes on the regular basis. They don't cancel classes very often. All the teachers teach on regular basis in the college.

    Placements

Placement of dcac college are decent, however they aren't much higher but highest placement offer offered in previous session was 24Lpa and 12 lpa was highest placement converted by college student in recruitment processes.

    Value for Money

College is worth every rupee, however college is small but you can experience whole college life very well. All the societies in college are active and events are being carried out every single day at college. My course cost 13400₹ per year which is minimal.

    Campus Life

Campus life at dcac is happening, also, one great advantage you get while in dcac is that you get your time to prepare for competitive exams and professional courses. All the events make campus life great. And the people around you are very nice here.

DCAC one of the best college in South Campus.

    College Infrastructure

College crowd, teachers are best but if we talks about infrastructure it is not as expected but when we are in the last year of college, infrastructure was start upgrading and hoping that it will be better now.

    Academics

College academics are good and one of the best thing is there is no any certain percentage of attendance is mandatory in the college so can prepare yourself for the extra curricular activities, you can learn something different skills from your academics.

    Placements

Placement cell is not much active for the BA course but if you are in BCom courses you will get the opportunity to sit in the placement but there are certain parameters for them also students who are in the Bcom hons are on the priority for them.

    College Infrastructure

Let's be honest, the infrastructure isn't DCAC's strong suit. The campus is on the smaller side, and the buildings have a bit of an old-school feel. While the classrooms are generally decent, they often lack air conditioning, which can be a real struggle during Delhi's brutal summers. The library, however, is a redeeming feature. It's spacious and air-conditioned, with a good collection of books. There are also a couple of computer labs and a decent sports ground. One major drawback is the complete lack of a hostel, which means students from outside Delhi have to rely on PGs or rented rooms.

    Academics

This is where DCAC shines. The faculty is a major highlight. Most of the professors are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive. They're not just there to lecture, they're approachable and willing to help students with their doubts. The college is particularly known for its strong commerce, economics, and journalism departments. The curriculum is comprehensive, and the teaching quality is high, making it a great place for serious students who are focused on their academics.

    Placements

Placements at DCAC are a mixed bag. The placement cell is active and does bring in some good companies, especially for B.Com (Hons) students. Companies like KPMG, EY, and Deloitte are known to visit the campus. However, placement opportunities for students in arts and other programs are not as robust. While some students do get great offers, many have to find internships and jobs on their own. The average package hovers around 3-5 LPA, which is decent for a DU college, but not spectacular.

    Value for Money

Given the relatively low fees of a Delhi University college and the high quality of academics, DCAC offers excellent value for money. You get a strong academic foundation and a recognized DU degree without the heavy financial burden of a private institution. While the infrastructure might be a bit lacking, the quality of education and the overall student experience make it a worthwhile investment.

    Campus Life

Despite the small campus, the campus life at DCAC is quite vibrant. The student crowd is very good, and there's a friendly and supportive environment. The college has a variety of active societies for everything from debating to drama and music, which provides plenty of opportunities for extracurricular involvement. The small campus size actually has a silver lining—it creates a close-knit community where everyone seems to know each other. Fests and other major events, however, can sometimes be infrequent. The canteen is a popular hangout spot, and its food is surprisingly good.

    Others

Overall, if you're looking for a college with top-notch academics, a great crowd, and a good value-for-money proposition, DCAC is a solid choice. Just don't expect a sprawling, modern campus.

    College Infrastructure

The college has a decent infrastructure. The classrooms are clean and spacious, and the campus, though not very big, is well-kept. The library is peaceful. However, there’s not much of a college ground, which limits sports and outdoor activities.

    Academics

the college is strong in commerce, economics, and journalism. Teachers are generally helpful and well-qualified, though like any DU college, the experience can vary depending on the department. Some professors really go the extra mile for students.

    Placements

Placement-wise, things are average. The placement cell is active, and companies But you have to be proactive internships and off-campus efforts matter a lot. The highest packages go to very few; most get decent or entry-level roles.

    College Infrastructure

Delhi colleges are places to be in. The infrastructure is marvellous with extreme technology upgradations and peace giving facilities. All necessary things are being taken care of like wifi, sports, labs and Library.

    Academics

Being a arts student, never thought that the subjects could be this interesting as the faculty made us feel there. The faculty is great, interesting ways of teaching, open for questions and help to students.

    Placements

Placing a art student is a tough job and thus I rate it a little low as of my experience. The arts student usually go to pursue govt exams or higher education and thus not much emphasis is laid upon placement.

Have a question related to DCAC ?

Hey Aspirant ,Delhi College of Arts and Commerce is a better option. Review says that dcac has better faculty than dac.DCAC ranks amongst the top 10 commerce colleges of DU and it's coed. But it is an off campus college and may not be able to provide you with all the exposure of various events in different colleges because travelling is a big hassel in Delhi .Hope this answers you well. All the best

    Hi there Simran!

The colleges which you have mentioned are all good options for Arts stream.

CVS- This college is best known for vocational studies, although it offers fifteen courses and is one of the best colleges of DU after the colleges of North Campus.

Gargi- This college ranked 9th in Arts by IndiaToday 2020 and is accredited with grade A. This college is one of the best colleges for Arts Stream, with good placement opportunities, and very affordable fee structures.

SBSC- The college has specialisation in all the streams and has comparatively higher fee structure and high cut offs.

ARSD college- For arts stream, this college is ranked 16th by IndiaToday 2020 and 14th by Outlook. The college has good placements and internship opportunities too. The fee structure is very high as compared to other colleges of DU.

DCAC- this college ranks 31 in Arts Stream, has comparatively high fee structure, and has renowned placement opportunities.

So considering everything, the first priority should be Gargi, followed by Arsd, sbsc, dcac and cvs.

    Hope this clears your confusion.

    All the best!
