Dr. Rajendra Prasad Shiksha Mahavidyalaya, Durg, started its constitutional function, and is indeed one of the most eminent teacher education institutions in the state of Chhattisgarh. The college is offering two full-time degree courses- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Education (D.Ed), with a total of 84 seats in both courses. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Shiksha Mahavidyalaya admission in B.Ed. is made by considering as well the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The process of selection follows the policy framed by the state government, UT administration, or the affiliated university. This regular programme of two years has been planned to prepare students in the basic skills and competencies required for effective teaching practice.
D.Ed.: The Diploma in Education has a 50-seat two-year regular course. Similar to the B.Ed., the process is based on merit in terms of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or the entrance test.
