Haralaiah Polytechnic is an affiliated college situated at Bhalki, Karnataka which was established in 1987. It has been over three decades since this esteemed institution has been training the future engineers . Located in the Bidar District, the polytechnic provides the following diplomas: Engineering diploma, Computer Science and Engineering diploma and other related fields. Having 18 numbers of teaching faculties, Haralaiah Polytechnic aims at providing quality technical education to the students belonging to all over the Karnataka state.

Haralaiah Polytechnic possesses numerous amenities that would in one way or another improve students’ learning experience. The library is well equipped with books in all categories, the electronic books, journals and many other books that are needed by the learners. Sophisticated laboratories exist department- wise to enable the learners to practice what they learn in their sector of speciality. Through the it structure students are made aware of the technological advancement that is available in the college. Speaking of sporting activities, the institute provided different sport related equipments and services for those who have interest in them, for balanced growth of the body as well as the mind. There is a health centre where first aid facilities in cases of any illness are diligently attended to. Besides, the campus also accommodates an auditorium for occasions such as seminars, a cafeteria for feeding, and a few guest houses for the visiting faculty and family.

Currently, diploma courses in the institute are four full time courses each that takes three years. These courses extend to various branches of engineering for which students establish a base before acquisition of other skills. The diploma courses offered include civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering.
