24 MonthsDiploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two-year full-time diploma program offered by The Director of Education Department, Pondicherry, and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Eligibility Criteria
(a) Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50 % of marks in the H.Sc. or the equivalent (10+2) examination. In the case of OBC, BCM, MBC, EBC, SC, ST, BT, and PwD, a candidate should have scored a minimum of 45% of marks. (Origin)
(b) The upper age limit is 29 years as of 31.07.2024 and relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST (Origin) and 3 years for OBC/MBC/ BCM/EBC/BT.
(c) Candidates should have taken Tamil as one of the languages either in High School or at the Higher Secondary level or while at their equivalent studies.
Admission Details
Admission shall be on merit basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/UT administration.
