Teaching faculties is soo good in this college they provide support and guidance to the students throughout the academic they provide theory as well as practical knowledge to the students really a good teaching in this college
Placement cell of this college is best they provide support to the students throughout the placement They are having many numbers of companies visiting in the campus and almost all the students gets placed from the campus itself
Really a good experience in this college I will highly recommend the college
The College has a good infrastructure of facilities of both academic and extracurricular activity . the classroom was well menatained ,clean and with projectors. The library also have a good learning environment. the clean washrooms and proper drinking water also available in campus.
I am studying b.com Hons. To create my future in finance the quality of teaching is excellent and the teacher maintain a healthy environment to learn the concepts easily and the curriculum was updated the new subjects include like gst , digital empowerment overall environment is good
Placement in my College are okay but not great around 60 to 70% students get placed every year and highest package was 9 Lpa last year for b.com and avg. Package of 4-5 lpa for others. Mostly companies mostly come for role in finance, sales the placement also helps in attracting opportunities but sometimes it will unorganised students and college both need to do more efforts to attract and get more opportunities.
Overall environment of college is very good and students can do much better in getting more knowledge and fun activities with friends
It's a commendable setup for an evening college—well-equipped in academics and extra‑curricular support—though allocating some budget to refurbish old infrastructure (seating, cooling, backup power) would significantly enhance the student experience.
Academically, Shyam Lal Evening scores well: robust faculty, updated curricula, skill‑based learning, and practical readiness are clear strengths. The flexible evening schedule supports working students. To enrich the offering further, the college could boost internship engagement and create more active clubs or societies. Overall, it provides a solid, value‑for‑money foundation in academics.
The placement scenario at Shyam Lal College (Evening) is moderate. Commerce students fare better, with median packages around ₹4–5 LPA and strong cell support, while Arts students see fewer opportunities and lower salaries. Outcomes vary based on stream, individual effort, and proactive engagement. Overall, success depends significantly on each student’s skill development and initiative.
Shyam Lal College (Evening), part of Delhi University, offers very affordable undergraduate education. Annual fees range from ₹5,000 to ₹9,000, depending on the course—much lower than private institutions. For Commerce and Arts degrees, the full three-year cost often stays under ₹25,000, making it one of the most economical choices in the region.
Shyam Lal (Evening) offers a surprisingly lively campus life given its timings: green spaces, robust sports and tech facilities, active societies, and genuine peer support. The main drawbacks are limited weekend social flow and minor maintenance needs. For students seeking a balanced DU experience with minimal fees and moderate extracurricular options, this college campus feels welcoming and worthwhile.
Shyam Lal College (Evening), affiliated with the University of Delhi, offers an affordable, value-driven undergraduate experience. Established in 1969, the college caters primarily to students looking for flexible evening schedules—ideal for those who work during the day or prefer a less conventional academic routine. Located in East Delhi near Shahdara Metro Station, the campus offers accessibility, greenery, and a modest yet functional academic environment.
The infrastructure and the environment of the college is very good. In short i should give a 5 star rating in terms of college environment and infrastructure. Rather i should say best college of Delhi university.
The faculties are very supportive in terms of education for those students who have issues in understanding the concept. faculty having an experience of 5-10 years in their respective field or department.
Placement in the college in not very much high, there is an average placement in good companies. Average students is not selected through college placement so only cream students having and expert knowledge and practical exposure are selected from their
Off-course value for money.
My experience in shyam lal college is very nice, all together i’m fully satisfied with this college.
Not much needed
Infrastructure isnt good Classes are not in good condition Liabrary isnt good... Canteen isntt good New block is little good but no generator available. Last option for admission Not admiseable
Teacher and studies are not upto the standar of delhi university no parking facility available Liabrary isnt good No good study material available There is a need of improvement Many things can be improved
No good placement available Very few companies come for recruitement ONLY BPOs come and hire student ay very bad pay Placement cell isnt good and doenst listen Students have to find out new job out of the way
Its obviously value for money
Its not good at all as local crowd is very bad
Shyam lal evening college has a decent infrastructure. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with basic amenities. The library has a good collection of books and is a quiet place for studying. There are computer labs with internet access, which helps students with their research and assignments. The campus has a canteen that offers affordable food options. However the sports facilities are limited and could be improved.
The bcom program at shyam lal evening college is well structured and covers essential commerce subjects. The faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive, helping students understand complex concepts. Classes are held in the evenings, making it convenient for working students. The curriculum is updated regularly to keep up with industry trends. However some students feel that more practical training and internships could be included to enhance real world skills.
Placements for the bcom program at shyam lal evening college are average. The college has a placement cell that works to connect students with job opportunities. Some well known companies visit the campus for recruitment, but the number of placements is limited. The salary packages offered are modest and not all students get placed. The college could improve its placement process by building stronger industry connections and offering more skill development workshops.
Shyam lal evening college offers good value for money for the bcom program. The fees are affordable in comparison to other colleges. And the quality of education you receive is decent. You get access to basic facilities, experienced teachers and a structured curriculum. However some students feel that more investment in infrastructure and additional support services could enhance the overall experience. Despite this considering the cost, the college provides a solid educational foundation at a reasonable price.
Campus Life at shyam lal evening college is quite relaxed and focused mainly on academics. Since classes are held in the evening, there isn't a lot of extracurricular activity during the day. The campus has a friendly atmosphere, and students can easily interact with peers and faculty. There are occasional events and activities, but they are limited compared to other du colleges. The facilities like the canteen and common areas are basic but adequate.
Overall Life at shyam lal college is comfortable and supportive but lacks the vibrancy and variety of activities seen in some other institutions.
the infrastructure of the college is decent and is continuously improving but changes in class seats would be the cherry on the cake apart from that an auditorium would be a great addition as it will allow student for better practice place.
bad in terms of academics every semester I used to get only one good teacher who was serious about their subject and took classes regularly other colleges are worried about student attendance Shyam Lal Evening should worry about teacher attendance and the knowledge of the teachers are also not that great
During my time when I was in college one-half day was given regarding student placement 5 companies visited and I don't think they took anyone it feels disheartening when you hear that all other college students are getting placed and in your colleges, no companies are coming
yaa in terms of ROI it is good because in less than 30000 you get to complete your graduation degree.
the library is good and at exam times they will provide you some extra hours to spend, so you can study more on exam days, classrooms are good but not with as you will find ac in labs for sure but expect it in the classroom
The faculties are well trained and have a lot of experience. Most of the faculties had completed phds and masters in their respective subjects. There are two semester exams held in one academic year and these exams are somewhat easier to pass.
Placements are up to 75% but who got job in placement never turn their head backwards The students who are Mostly talented can only be getting job in placements students must do smart work as well as including hard work..
I am very happy to pursue Bachelor of Commerce in Shyam Lal College. This course perfectly matches with my requirement and that is the reason I chose this course. The faculty here is among the best compared to all the DU Colleges. Internships are mandatory for 6th semester students
This course perfectly matches with my requirement and that is the reason I chose this course. The faculty here is among the best compared to all the DU Colleges. Internships are mandatory for 6th semester students
The placement rate at Shyam Lal College is 95%. The highest package is INR 8–9 LPA, and the lowest is INR 4.5 LPA. Byju's, HCL, and many more companies are coming to Shyam Lal College. The top recruitment companies in my college are Byju's, HCL, and many more. The role offered at my college is very important.
: Our college has many societies. It conducts events. Our college should focus on programming languages and make it fully equipped from beginner to advanced level. The placement cell is good. Many deserving students got their dream jobs. Many famous companies like Zomato, Amazon, Flipkart, etc., visit our college.
It has a great campus with a great environment.. There was no internship offered, but there was an exchange programme offered for 1 month in Finland. The process for selection was smooth. Very very happy.
There were no placements for B.A. English course in our college. Although, they were good for commerce students. There was no internship offered, but there was an exchange programme offered for 1 month in Finland. The process for selection was not good, as the whole class didn't get aware about it and the decision was made internal.
